NYC is quite lovely in the fall. It's cool, but not cold and I can still wear flats with no socks and skirts with tights and not feel cold at all.

It's not that much warmer than Toronto, but the nightly low doesn't seem to drop as much and that seems to make a nice difference.

I actually just started to wear my winter coat yesterday because of the wind, but I've actually been able to wear my fall coat for more than a couple of weeks this year, hooray!

Removing Conditions

Sent package to VSC - 8/12/11

Oh wow. That's beautiful. I picture a cold wind with that, though. lol

You got that right! The wind can get pretty chilly coming off the lake - in the winter, it's our own personal snow machine :) That's lake Erie (about a mile from my house), and we get TONS of lake-effect snow.

I have experienced the pleasure of Erie, PA's lake-effect snow on a number of occasions. lol

It's a bit of a pain (especially for those who aren't used to driving in white-out conditions!), but I LOVE our winters. We're close to several ski/snowboarding/tubing hills, and the Peninsula is beautiful in the winter. I love the ice dunes that form just off-shore (just don't try to walk on them!)

It's cold here - not as in omg this is Canada cold - but there is a skiff of snow sitting on the ground and it is -13c (9F)

So this little cold snap reminds me why we moved to Florida, so we are packing up the truck and....not!

Now i'm thinking, what little cold snap, the one between November and April??
