OK, well this moring at about 5 a.m., someone decides to get onto the freeway..... going the wrong way. It was aparently a gruesome accident, and closed one of the biggest freeway interchanges in california if not the whole west coast. Traffic was diverted and the interchange was closed. So a 40 minute commute turned into an 100 minute commute. Still aren't many details about the person who got onto the freeway going the wrong way. They are almost always either drunk, or running from the police.

i see that on cops quite a bit, in the la area.

I carry a gun because a cop is too heavy.

It's going to be a beautiful day here in sunny fla. High of 81f. Maybe a bit of rain this afternoon. That cold snap we had killed all my lovely poinsettias in the garden. :crying:

Raining!

I had that happen to me, once! :o I was driving home late one night/early one morning and there was a guy in an SUV driving eastbound on the westbound highway! Luckily, he was in the passing lane and I was in the slow lane. Good God.

I was told by an officer that if you are driving late at night, you should keep to the right side. Aparently, people who drive on the wrong side of the road, and drunk drivers tend to drive in the left lanes (fast lane and carpool lanes).

Yikes! Good advice.

Question btw - are you the Rob or the Mel of Rob&Mel. Cause I'm lazy.

Don't worry I will not ask for address next and home phone number.

After using my crack investigative skills, I concur. Tis the Rob.

See that's what I was thinking, and I was going to just put Rob.

But then I thought, what is its Roberta and Mel. Or Robert and Melanie. Then I got scared. Thought I should ask.

But it doesn't matter if it's Rob, Roberta or Mel, Melvin, or Melanie. Rob's the petitioner and that's the person talking about the accident in California.

That's why you have super-Organizer powers. I wasn't able to deduce that. His writing just sounds like a dude. That's what I was going on. I figured that chances that Rob stood for Robert were pretty good, so he was probably the Rob. Then I seconded my assumption that most people when using joint names have theirs first. So - again - he was probably the Rob.:wacko:

You way makes much more sense.

ROFLMAO, A group of detectives here. Well yes, it is Rob, I used to put my name at the end of posts to deliniate who it was. But we both do use this account, I just do 95% of the posts. I am also the one usually calling people pompous douchebags and using nice pix to show them how much of a douchebag they are in OT. I was not the person who created the account though.

Update on the traffic accident from this morning. A person got onto the freeway going the wrong direction. After going a ways, someone tried to swerve to avoid them, and collided with a police officer from the town that I grew up in (Culver City). Two fatalaties, and the guy ran away.......

That kind of reminds me of when I was visiting in Vegas, we were driving along the highway to Mount Charleston and on the way there, I saw one car with the fender completely bent and the other car was flipped over, and the passenger seats were completely crushed. :S And then that same day, they had a high speed chase on one of the major highways that goes around the Las Vegas strip. :|

In Calgary, it's been very cold, but lately warmish. But most of the roads still seem to have giant ice cubes inhabiting the middle of the road. :S
