Bo messaged me from work around lunch time saying schools had been canceled for the rest of the day around Raleigh due to the threat of "1-2 inches of snow"

.....

My husband's from NC. Pvssies.

And..... what the heck? It's only a "threat"..... not the real thing is it?

The roads are slippery out there this morning I wiped out a wee bit on some black ice on the way in to work. So for staying alive I stopped off at starbucks and got myself a venti macchiato and don't hold out on me with the whipped cream lady. :P

Donne moi une poptart!

It's flippin cold here. 45 degrees. We're expecting to dip below freezing this evening. :o:crying:

Yeah and there is a brisk breeze blowing, what's up with that!?

It looks like Florida outside, it feels like Canada!

At my favourite place downtown I usually order a frozen chai latte with soymilk instead of real milk. But they bring it to me with a huge tower of whipped cream. I'm like.... what the heck? Don't you realize I ordered the soy because I can't have real dairy?! :bonk:

I had my window open last night and you could hear the wind. Did you hear the thunder last night? We had a tornado warning. :o

Well I guess it was a bonafide threat - they got 4 inches last night...Bo's snowed in rofl...the main road and the parking lot haven't been plowed yet!

Work called and asked 'if he was being safe with the snow down" - he said "yup, I cancelled my jobs and am staying home "

They replied "oh, well that's pretty safe then!"

We never open the windows at night - because it is a bungalow and it just doesn't seem safe to me - which is a huge bummer (especially since our electricity bill was $174 this month)

I didn't hear the thunder, just rain.

A friend living on his boat in Fort Lauderdale told me he had to buy a heater last week because he was too cold.

Chicago continues on the deep freeze although the really really really cold snap "ended" on Sunday.

Again this Winter we are getting more snow than what is usual for this region.

It's flipping cold here. 36f at 11:00am. I've decided to look at it as my training for Canada in February.

That it is! I went outside at 8 this morning - it was 0 c - yes zero!! When Mike got up it was -1 - yes minus one!!

Remember last winter was warm krikit and I emailed you because I was wondering if it was always that hot in the winter :hehe:
