Timeline

Looking at your timeline you only submitted your I-129F on June 5th which means its only been at Vermont for 4 days (if it's even reached Vermont yet !!).

Infopass appointments are made at your local USCIS office but will not effect the processing of an I-129F petition because those are processed at regional processing centers. There is no way to 'speed up' the processing of an I-129F and to be honest, if after 4 days you are already looking for ways to speed things up, you're going to drive yourself nuts once you've been waiting 90+ days !!

Most people who use the infopass system do so during the AOS and EAD application process which doesn't start until after your Fiance is in the US and you have got married. Even then, an infopass appointment is of no use unless a person has been waiting for at least the projected processing period. making an infopass appointment when an application is still within a normal processing timeframe will just result in you being turned away and told to return when you reach that projected time limit with no news.

Sit tight and try to be patient.

Mark :)

Before I mailed in our paperwork, I made an appointment through Infopass. The woman told me they don't accept I-129F there and she wouldn't even go over my paperwork to see if it was in order. She said she didn't want to give me incorrect information.

My Infopass appointment was in Chula Vista, CA--you have to show your appointment letter and identification to enter. I was not allowed to enter the building until 5 minutes before my appointment time. They do NOT allow walk-ins there. Perhaps Vermont is different.

I think it would be a waste of your time to make an appointment.

Once you get NOA1, you can register on the USCIS website and check the status of your petition at anytime.

I used the Info Pass here in New York. I don't think it was really beneficial, you go through security, then you wait for your number to be called then you go up to a window and the people that work there are in a race to answer your questions and proceed to the next person.

I had questions on the documents I was filling out. To be honest, there wasn't anything they told me that I already didn't know.

I got most of my information from the www.uscis.gov site and this site.

As long as your read all the forms carefully and make sure you use BLACK PEN, you should be fine.

My biggest hurdle was getting my fiance to spell everything to me over the phone and since you know the greek alphabet and the english alphabet is very different. I needed a lot of patience with him to get everything on his end spelled correctly.

Wishing you lots of luck and pisti through this process.
