Hi,

I have sent Packet 3 to Mumbai consulate which has been received about 2 days ago. Dept. of State confirmed that it has not yet been entered in the system. How long does it take for consulates to enter Packet 3 in the system? Is it normal to have this delay?

This is for K3 visa.

Thanks.

I would look at the timelines to get an estimate of when they will send out a packet.

YuAndDan - The consulate has already sent out the Packet 3. I never received it. Hence, I downloaded the forms from the web and have sent it overnight which according to the post office, they have received it. DOS confirmed that they have not yet entered Packet 3 into the system. I wanted to know the approximate timeframe that it takes for the embassy to enter received Packet 3 info. into the system.

I will also search timelines meanwhile to see if I can get this information. But if you know this information, please let me know. Thanks.

i just called them and they are saying they dont have any other information except that it was sent to mumbai consulate. they dont get updated here, and they dont process this kind of case in US. you need to contact your local embassy. also, mumbai embassy confirmed that they already sent package 3, but we havent received it yet.
