I called the Embassy yesterday and they can't give me an interview date until i've had the medical...got that booked for Tuesday.

But do know of someone that sent pkt 3 back on 18th Dec, loaded on system 2nd January had an interview date of 30th January.

Hoping for interview early Feb, put my travel date as 20th Feb so hopefully they can be accomodating.

How do you find out when it is loaded onto their system?

I thought that you could even have your medical on the same day as the interview and that they would just dleay issueing the visa pending the results

Good luck with the medical, I was in and out in under half an hour

I emailed the Embassy requesting an early interview date and the 1st reply I got back was that they hadnt received my packet 3 back yet could I confirm when i sent it etc. Sent them a reply and they emailed me back 2-3 days later telling me yes they had received it and an interview date would be very soon.

I called on thursday to see if the date had been set and they told me January 30th. Twenty minutes later I got an email from the Consular Information Unit saying ignore the interview for January 30th we have granted an expedited interview for January 20th!!

No complaints here!!

Yeah, I thought that it didn't matter if you hadn't had your medical or not. As long as you had one booked and were ready for an interview date...

Hmm good thinking Shaz, I think I'll send the forms back and delay sending the checklist until a little later.

Send the forms in Gem wish I had done it that way now, then I peobably would not have to wait so long for the interview, hope I gt it quickly fingers crossed. But dont forget you have 6 months before you have to go once you have the visa and you can also delay then issueing at your interview if you are not ready.

I was shocked that they wouldn't give me an interview date until i'd had the medical...may call back tomorrow to dbl check.

I called DOS to see if pkt3 had been rec'd, works out cheaper than calling the Embassy, was told it was rec'd and loaded...luckily he laughed when he saw that it was rec'd back in London BEFORE London had sent it!

Maybe it is that they wont give you the interview date if you had not booked the interview as all it says on the check list is what date is the medical booked for, not when did you have the medical

I will give DOS a call in a couple of weeks
