Yea so do I. From searching the archives it sounds like some people tell the doctors about the abortion, and have no problem, others tell the doctor about the abortion and get slapped with a psyco label and blacklisted for life, and most lie and say they never had an abortion. I've got a pinay lawyer saying don't worry about it, you'll just have to have a psyc eval and they'll pass you through if you're not nuts. On the other hand I've got pinay doctor saying keep your mouth shut about the abortion, and for that matter tell them you've never been pregnant and they aren't supposed to do a pelvic exam at all. This seems to be a very gray area. I mostly trust the embasy to give us fair treatment, but I'm a lot less trusting with the Philippine bureaucracy.

She explained that it was not for the miscarriage, per se, but for the proceedure to follow, to remove the remnants of the pregnancy, if that makes any sense.

In the US, we call that a D&C. "Dilation and Curettage". The same procedure is used for other purposes, whether a fetus was ever present or not. It just puts the uterus back in a "fresh" state.

Right, that makes sense. I'm just not getting why this was termed an "intentional abortion" if the baby died on his own without being killed by someone else. Surely the PI government doesn't equate a miscarriage (a tragic, natural event) with a deliberate act to end the unborn child's life?

worst comes to worst...

I believe this is one great story of authentic love.

And worst comes to worst again, the CO will probably be touched by the story once everything is laid down.

Perhaps, like you said, because "abortion" is a medical term, to differentiate "intentional" from "spontanious". The Philippines has a stringent definition of Fetal Death, that is does not occur until "the product of conception" is "expelled" or "extracted" and no signs of viability are noted.
