I'm guessing about $150-200 a week. We buy some items at Costco, a lot of good stuff at Trader Joe's and the rest at the local supermarket.

We probably spend another $40 a week at Target mainly for toiletries.

We're all about Super Wal-Mart, the savings are amazing.

It's not hate, just envy. I wish I had your means.

I don't like Trader Joe's. Whole Foods is just so much better.

We buy our toiletries in bulk from Costco. I have no idea how much we spend or save there, I don't really keep track of Costco bills.

I haven't been to a Whole Foods yet. Not everything in Trader Joe's is great, but things like their organic ketchup, fresh grated Parmesan, or hot cocoa are awesome and cheap. For the best produce, nothing beats locally grown you can buy at the Farmer's Market.

We spent $ 90 to $ 120 a week for 2 persons for groceries. We buy food or eat in the restaurant once or twice a week only sometimes we dont.

After seeing how much people think is too much to spend for going out to dinner I'm curious how much people spend on groceries per week. Typically I spend about $120-150/wk for basics and then drop in a few times throughout the week spending $20-30 on fresh produce and meat. So when I heard that $30 is a lot for eating out I thought I must be nuts spending $30 on stuff for one meal I'm cooking on my own.

How much do you typically spend?

How many people are you purchasing for?

It is difficult going shopping with Claudeth. I turn my back and $200 worth of stuff suddenly appears in the basket. We have had grocery bills of up to $400. I would guess we spend about $800 a month on food. That girl sure can eat

Sounds like good eats at your house.

no sh*t! i'm coming over!

You should see the stuff we end up throwing away
