Ah, ok. :) If I had to have guessed, I would thought you grew up in the midwest - perhaps some of your husband's Virginian sensibilities has rubbed off on you.

We're not all moonbat leftist types brainwashed by the BBC, you know.

With all due respect, $70 per month will not buy much food, clearly not enough for two. You must have meant per week?

Its true $70.00 per month! Believe it! We dont really buy any juice except orange juice , we drink mostly water for health reasons, we buy whole veggies, whole fish, fruits, not too much meat if we do buy meat it is not meant as a main dish we just put it with the veggies sometimes. I would have to say the reason why we dont spend a lot is because we dont buy hardly any "processed foods" or "fancy stuff" . And trust me we;re not starving I could actually lose weight and my hubby gained about 20 pounds since he got here ...

Wow, that is very impressive. We spend over $600 per month on food alone, a mix between organic and regular foods, with Thai Jasmine Rice as the staple. Normal daily consumption consists of freshly made: Indonesian, Thai and Mena food and thus; we are puzzled by your post. How do you get it done?

Yeah, we want to see itemized receipts from all your purchases this month.

Is this in the Phillipines? It's not even remotely possible in the US.

Seriously? We can produce that evidence easily. Look at beef for example in Missouri: 1lb of beef top round, $4.89 per pound. Steaks on the other hand, run $9-18 per pound, depending on the cut.

1 lb of farm raised frozen medium shrimp (shell on), is $5.99 per pound, fresh (never frozen ) is $9.99 per pound.. Vegetables are even more proportionately expensive, with particular focus on "organic". Typically, 200% more than typical farm raised.

I can continue...But why?

Average prices on each and every consumable item today is out of control. Irrespective of where you are located, the prices are up in the stratosphere.

It will take more than jello shots to imagine that you can feed 2 people for a month for $50. I'd say it would take some mind altering hallucinogens.

Whats better than jello shots and mind altering drugs?
