Traveling out of US with pending K1

As always, I am sure my questions floating around and been asked by someone else before :D but i just cannot browse anymore! So i will apologize in advanced!

I know a lot of people ask about their fiance coming to visit the US while they have the k1 pending, but what about the other way around?

My fiance and I decided to not take the chance of him being turned away here and for me to go visit him in London this April. I have flown to England twice now, and both times I kind of got hassled (maybe... overly questioned is a better term), which makes me think that I might get even more hassled when I say I am visiting my fiance instead of my boyfriend. But I intend to be honest, and I am going to assume its a bright idea to take my NOA1 notice with me too ;) I am just worried it will all work against my favor. worry=my middle name

I suppose to get straight to my question, has anyone had any issues going to visit their significant other in their country while the K1s pending? Or is this just an issue i made up in my head so I will lose sleep :D

There is no restriction on a US citizen traveling to visit fiancee in their home country.

Note if your fiancee fears travel while k-1 is in process, they can always use Shannon or Dublin Ireland as a connection to the flight to the USA, those airports pre-clear persons traveling to the USA, is if a denial of entry happens it would happen there, a much shorter distance from home.

This topic is asked about so often it is a FAQ: http://www.visajourney.com/faq/k1k2visa-application.html#4.6

OUR TIME LINE Please do a timeline it helps us all, thanks.

Is now a US Citizen immigration completed Jan 12, 2012.

We're US and Canada, so our border is fairly friendly as it is - but my US fiance visits about three weekends a month without any problem, and he's always been honest about who he's visiting and the process we're in.

Best of luck and happy travels!

I would take the same precautions coming to England as people reccomend for those visiting the US and bring evidence of your ties and intentions to return to the US. Our immigration people can be just as pedantic as those in the US.

I know of one instance were they sent back a friends US fiancee. She was coming for a stay of 3 months at the time and had no job back in the US so that may have been a factor. I am also not sure if they had started their K1 at that time.

I wouldn't worry about travelling to the the UK. I would suggest that you answer their questions at customs, but don't give them any additional information. I've been through their customs before and know how they can hassle you. Make sure you tell them you are enterning as a "tourist". Just a suggestion :)

hehe yeah, the 2 times i have flown there was pretty stressful.. so ideally i would like to avoid as much stress as possible. And, like everyone else here, I'd like to not mess up my chances of seeing my fiance when the visits are so far and few! I will arrive as prepared as i can with helpful documents i guess :D
