My hubby is 16 and half older than me... during my interview they asked wedding photos which I don't have... but we have photos together w/ my hubby families in some occassion. They asked me anniversary, b-day, valinetines, x-mas cards, letters and remittance, phone bills... I gave them a bunch of it...the age gap was not an issue.

Well if you are a man older than the women it won't be an issue. But as unfair as it is, the other way around it is. Remember dates...they want to see that you know them.

Make sure they see your evidence, don't just wait for them to ask. If they say the interview is over say "sir/maam, I have more to show you. We were advised to only give them what they asked for. It turned out to be the wrong advice, and now we have been in 221g limbo for over 9 months.

Good luck.

i couldnt agree with you more on this one  ....there is between me and my hubby a 26 years difference and when i had my interview the lady was very young!! but i definetely made sure that she sees everything proof i had hehee and of course she couldnt say no :P .... good luck to all of u.... Here's the official phirephly list of "evidence" we will use. We haven't had either interview (K3 or CR1), so we're just as hopeful this will be enough as you are:

Three folders: 1) Relationship 2) Well Being/Support 3) Extended emails The + and | indicate things that are paperclipped together. She will have one set of folders 1 and 2 that have the original documents, another with copies that have things highlighted and with stickies pointing out important things. She will just have one folder 3. I will also have a complete set of folders that is an exact copy of all the evidence that I've sent her.

Folder 1 *Relationship*:

+ Plane ticket stubs, Taxi receipts to/from airport, "departure fee" to leave Philippines

| Passport stamp and luggage sticker thingee

| Complete Travelocity intinerary of trip

| Complete Hotel Receipt (including all charges)

| Wedding/Engagement rings Rceipt

-- Stapled together all receipts of paperwork and documents I sent to her

-- Amazon.com and pinasgift receipts from past three years, stapled chronologically

-- Phone bills from last 6 months with massive long distance charges  stapled reverse chronologically (most recent first)

-- 4 email threads with my family and friends. one friend congratulating me, mom congratulating us at our joint email account, my wife's response to my brother's congratulatory reply to my announcement, and a reply that my wife sent to my whole family about how i liked some of the food there (in response to an email i sent about my visit).

-- 6 email threads between my wife and I that range over our relationship and show nontrivial communication, stapled chronologically.

-- 5 IM convo histories between us

-- Hopefully we can print out a couple IM convos that she's had with my mom

-- SMS records back to Sept 2004 (SMS is huge where she is)

Folder 2 *Well Being/Support*:

-- Letter of documents enclosed (or explaining missing documents)

-- money transfers

-- Bank statements from last few months, reverse chronological order. Shows her accessing OUR account.

+ Lease amendment adding her to the lease of my apartment signed by landlord, her, and myself.

| Copy of my lease which expires in Feb 2007

-- Benefits profile from work showing her designated as my wife and covered under my work's plans for dental, medical, and vision (same as me). She is also noted there as the sole primary beneficiary to my work-sponsored benefits (401k, life insurance, etc) :)

-- Medical card and letters that she received for being covered under my medical plan

-- Dental card (if it ever arrives!)

-- Auto insurance covering her. Not yet as a driver, but she's on the policy.

-- Life insurance policy (my own, not work) again noting her as my spouse and the sole primary beneficiary

-- Roth IRA naming her as my wife and sole beneficiary

Folder 3 *You want emails?*:

-- Approximately 200 email threads, sorted by year, and ready for inspection.

Loose:

-- 200+ Photos of my trip there with her, including our wedding and a bunch of pics with her mom and sister and a dozen or so at some family gatherings. All consistently labelled on the back with a felt tip pen with the following information in the same places: Event, location, date, people, and photo # (for reference)

-- All the cards, notes, etc she's sent me via post

-- All the cards, notes, etc that I've sent her via post

-- The scrapbook she's making

-- Cards mentioned above (medical, dental, ATM, etc)

Hopefully this will be enough...

Hopefully this will help you or give you some ideas (or maybe someone will give me some extra ideas ;) ). Definitely not definitive, but I don't think they could possibly deny us on a lack of "evidence". Note that she is now represented to my family, friends, employer, and multiple other organizations as my wife. ttyl,

mich

very good..

I put all my documents in plastic paper protecters. so its easy to take that document out...

not specific for the embassy at all. as far as i know, there aren't any guidelines/suggestions from my embassy regarding what constitutes "good evidence" or whatever. I just want to make sure that there is ample evidence for the CO so that there is as little reason for doubt as possible. I spose it's more of a reflection of who i am than where our interview will be ;) I'd rather have something be someone else's fault than mine  I'm sure that there won't be enough time to go through this all, but who knows which one will be the most useful or which is the magic silver bullet for the CO. So having my bases covered makes me feel a bit more safe about the process. If you were a CO and you saw all that, how much doubt would you have? ;) I also want to make sure that my wife feels confident when she goes for the interview - especially if i can't be with her. I'm sure that you can get away with less (and I'm sure that people will post that they have). As I said... it's just me. :) Luck favors the prepared, right? ttyl,

mich

Thanks for your advice.

I appreciate it! :star:

I am really wondering doesn't it look fishy if you brought to the interview lots of evidence I mean doesn't it look like you are over proofing it???? Plz reply me because all i will bring to the interview is :

1-My husband's passport with Visa stamped 3 times "visited me 3 times in 7 months"

2- Phone records in skype

3- 4 photo albums contains more than 200 photos " in fact we have more than 1000 photos taken of us together and my family and my whole relatives and friends " so do I need to print more???"

4- wedding photos

5- engagment photos

6-movie theater tickets " has no names or anything though"

5- His emails to me and My emails to him but I really rearly email him since I call him like 5 times a day so why write if i can just call for 2 cent a minute?????!!!

6- I have skype in number "Ameircan number" so he calls me after 9 PM US time and it cost both of us NOO money at all.

I don't have any PM mesages because simply we talk by phone not by chatting but we have little history including links and few words we use while we are talkingin the phone ???

so SHOULD i worry??? is evidences are enoughor not ??? I saw huge amount of evidences in your posts and I don't have any

7- I have our tax return filed together and have my name on it that's it..

I need someone to tell I started to worry !!! :help:

Yodrak you asked good questions, i would have to think seriously on them..

This is the other angel i should have thought it. anyways

so thanks

Fooki

You know the other thing you need to consider, is that you should be offended that they question your love. If you are truly in love, no one government should be able to say how old you have to be to marry someone. They don't do it for men, so why they are doing it for women?

It also depends on how you look together, do you feel comfortable and is she comfortable? Does your family approve and her family approve? That's important to government, but not always important to you and her.

This is about your life, if you act like you are offended that they would question your love, I would think most people would back off. But if you have evidence to the contrary, and it sets off anyone for a red flag, OMG watch out then!

I'm older than my husband, and no one, not his family, friends, or my family or friends every said anything. No one ever says in the street or anywhere. Cos basically, we don't care what any one thinks...it's our life let us live it.

Good luck.

well one thing to consider is no matter how much proof you have it wont do you any good if they have decided your case up front. AT Balas first interview as soon as he sat down they said. "dont think your getting a free ride to america!" They were not interested in any proofs he had.....and he had tons!! you name he took it with him. If you have read my recent thread about his second interview then you will see it was same there....I visited him in march/april of this year and again he had a stack of all the proofs...He tried to make them look at them, they refused.. To this date no one has gone over our proofs, yet they still say we are a fraud. Let me give you an example of our proof that Bala had no intentions of coming to america.. His dream was to own his own business. He's an avid reader and loves books, so he had wanted for a long timt to own his own "book stall". He asked me to come there, marry him and help him with this shop. I considered it. He even borrowed a lot of money (which he is still paying back) and went to a town nearby to look at shops to rent. He and his friend approached publishers, and other shops. He had huge list of books he wanted to buy written up and was well prepared for this to be our new life. Then I went for my first visit, and I knew that we could never be happy there, people are not accepting of mixed marriages. After returning home my heart was broke, how to approach him?? I didnt want to ruin his dream, but I told him I cant come there, would you consider coming here? I told him I could apply for a fiance visa. He asked is it possible.. to which I replied...we can try (this was before i found vj).. And thats how we decided to marry and live here. Now all this can easily be proved, heck even his family knew about his plan and that he borrowed the money.. To me this is proof that he is not trying to immigrate to U S. But they want even hear it, they are not interested in hearing it. Everything Bala says to them, they reply "Sir, we do not believe you".

So take all your proof and be sure to insist they take all of it.....go thru it one by one .... and pray that you dont get someone as closed minded as we have working our case........Good luck
