Well today is a busy day for us. I'm going to get the little guy in the bath, then he and I are off to school. I have a final exam in my summer school class (should be easy). Then to the library to get some books for an independent study I'm doing this summer. Mosque this afternoon, then I teach from 4-6. Whew! After that I'm not sure what we'll do...hmm. Youssef was so sick last night, throwing up and dizzy really not sure what's wrong but I hate to take him to the dr. as it will cost us a fortune. But we'll see. Have a great friday!!!

It's Friday, and I'm beginning to realize how much I miss jummah. In college, I could go almost every week. The khatib (speaker) wasn't always the best, but there's something about being in the masjid, surrounded by sisters that does a person's iman (faith) good. I haven't been to jummah in almost 8 months, and not more than 2 or 3 times since I started working full time. I wish I could find a masjid or gathering in the downtown area to go to, even take a long lunch or unpaid hours off. *sigh*

Salams all - I don't post much but I always like to read up

I'd have to agree with you Rahma - I miss those school days when I would arrange my classes to where I had a healthy balance of masjid, classes and personal time w/ some very strong iman'd friends who were very good for the soul... ever since I've been out, just not the same anymore - blah!

Hope you all have a great weekend!

where is everyone? *whines*

I went a little crazy downloading ringtones today. Ok, well, not too crazy, but getting a new phone is like letting a kid go crazy in a candy store. Technology has really advanced since the last time I got a new phone. All of my ringtones are real music clips.

My aquisitions:

Raiders of the lost ark theme song

Harry Potter Theme

If I had a Million Dollars

Hello Muddah, Hello Faddah to use for my parents. My mom had a camp grenada game when she was little that was at my grandparents' house when I was young. We always played it and my Grandma would sing us this song.

Can you feel the love tonight?

I have been contacted by one of the hospitals here in town to see if I would be interested in an admin position opening up next week. The only down side is it's a temporary 3 month position. I figure at this point IT'S A JOB so I'm going to go for testing and all that good stuff. Want to hear the joke? Half the responsibilities for $2.50 more an hour then my old job.

Wish me luck. I miss the freedom that ole paycheck affords.

and Rahma,

I would dearly love to know where you got the animated banner in your signature. You can pm me if you like.

My second temp job was suppose to be a 1-2 week data entry position. It turned into a year and a half, so inshaAllah if you get it, like it and do well, they'll keep ya!

The flippy one? It's made up of userbars. I got the ones in my signature from either here, here or here. I saved the ones I liked on my computer, and then uploaded them into the userbar animator and out popped my sig :)

Wow, thanks! I just to be creative and dabble in this stuff. I'm actually thinking once Moh gets here and we get settled, I want to study web site creation and digital art. I'm a happy camper if I can sit and piddle around on my computer creatively.

Well, this gal is in a toot. She just called me and asked me to email her a copy of my resume and said they would email their testing to me. I could be sitting at a desk as early as Monday if I play my cards right. Enshaa Allah.
