Can everyone see their status online? It says mine case does not exist. Just wondering, is it me or is it everyone? They cashed the check 6 days ago.

Hi M&K,

I'm not 100% about this, but I think that if you add your timeline into your profile, then you should see how things are going. Just put in the required information and click submit at the bottom. It should take you to an area to give you an estimated time of receiving NOA2 ( I think). Have you received your first NOA?

so whats this igor's list and how does it work? i keep seeing references to it, can anyone clue me in?

Igor's list can be found here http://www.visajourney.com/timeline/monthly_filers.php?cfl=

This is only based on VJ members and not the other 1000's out there that are in the visa process, but it is quite handy, although it can get quite depressing if you dont move in the right direction on the list.

Hope you're still going to visit us in Dec '08 VSC Joshua

haha - ya ima definitely going to keep up with as much as i can, pretty much everything i read is new to me so maybe it all will help getting it done right the first time.

Never argue with an idiot, they will drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

Sorry, I mean I see the case on the back of the check, but when I check the uscis site and enter this case number, it says case does not exist.

OHHHHHH  Ok...not sure if you registered yet with them...I know that Tim did as soon as we saw the case number, and he was able to see the status right away...(which really didn't say much..lol)...

USCIS have been having problems with cases online lately. Im a November filer and we've received our NOA1 but when checking online, we get the same error message. There are several of us in November with this same issue however, checking the december thread, many are able to check theirs online. We called USCIS and they confirmed this problem on their end so dont worry about it too much. You've got your NOA1 already so you're in the system. USCIS also advised us to call when its been 6 months of filing ( ) if we havent received anything..

As long as you follow the guides you should all be fine. I had all the items documented on my cover letter and placed it in order respectively and just hole punched everything and placed a metal fastener on top. When they receive it anyway they will just pull it all apart and set it up how they want it anyway so I wouldnt stress too much..good luck January filers!!!!

:D Ain't that the truth!! I had our file so that each trip went in chronological order, and I'm sure everything will just get moved around! Each part of package was in it's own file folder, including one that says "mutual intent" where our letters, and engagement cards, etc are in. Tim and I have 2 years of relationship, and now I think we probably could have gotten away with one or two trips to see each other...

oh well....

Yeah, our trips were in chronological order as well but with tabs on the bottom of each section of the packet instead of putting them into seperate folders...doesnt matter really, as long as there's not all staples which really annoys the USCIS officers - so i've heard.. :)

Hmmmm I can't remember if anything was stapled too much!! LOL Probably a few things..Wonder if they've ever heard of a staple remover...works fast and it's easier on the fingernails!!

I did staple the bottom of the folders just so that things didn't slip out and get lost, but it's still really easy to get to everything....wish I was a fly on the wall so I could see what they're doing!! :P
