I went crazy too waiting for ours. Every time I checked Igor's list and saw apps filed after ours geting approved, I nearly cried. I did the whole checking the e-mail a hundred times a day thing, and going to the mailbox with hope, only to be dissapointed day after day. I thought about not coming to VJ and checking Igor's for awhile because it made me so angry and worried. For the record, the website still says recieved and pending for ours, and actually it's in London right now. That website fails.

So, I get it guys, it sucks so bad. It's terrible to feel this helpless and so out of control of something that means so much to you. To have your life in the hands of strangers. There does not seem to be much rhyme or reason to things. Nothing I say can make you feel better. I still have a bit of advice though. Don't listent to the canned responses. The 6 months processing thing is just a standard reply. Just because they say they are doing November, well, we all know that isn't true. Dozens of people that filed after Nov are approved already. They just say that because of the whole 6 month standard, cover their @$$, canned response. They hope it keeps too many people from bugging them. Bottom line: you never know when you are going to get the best news of your life in the mailbox. It could be today. It does NOT mean you all have to wait 2 more months.

NatPatBen, I just have to tell you that I think happy thoughts for you a lot. You filed weeks before I did, you have to be as frustrated as I was, yet I see you say such positive things to people every day.

Thank-you for being so supportive. I am so looking forward to the day you post your approval! (F)

Jim, did you send registered mail?

Not quite sure what you mean by registered mail dude. I sent Vermont Service Center the I129f petition through regular mail. I'm in Norfolk as well by the way.

I also did receive my NOA1 Hard copy but that was back on January 9th.

This just in........

Jim, they lost your papers at the center? If you have a hard copy then the files are sitting in some file or on some one's desk.

Thanks. Yes, I'm frustrated, but I also believe that everything happens for a reason, even if we don't know what that reason is. So I'm holding on.

I'm looking forward to that day, too.

Just got word that my case has been with an adjudicator and has been worked on since june 5th.

how did u get this information...can i call uscis for that or did a congressman let u kno

I'm in the coast guard which is a branch under DHS just like USCIS. I spoke to my commander and asked if he had any connections. Apperently he did and got back with me on whats going on at Vermont. It's who you know is what it really comes down to.

That's cool you had connections.

My petition has [supposedly] been with someone since June 3, 2 days after my Senator contacted USCIS on my behalf. Still no approval, though.

I'm hoping that the NOA2 will come soon seeing how my case has been with an adjidicator (however the hell you spell it) since June 5th.

another week down...i think ill be on my way to the 6 month club

Hang in there guys, try calling NVC and just lie to them about receiving your noa2 and just ask them if they have received your petition yet. Thats what I did and I found out that we were approved and they had our packet, which on wednesday is on its way to london. Honestly calling NVC is worth looking into and don't get discouraged if things are getting tougher, I honestly I was destined for the same fate but all of a sudden things can drastically change. Things can happen that quick and I hope things start to move along quicker for you guys, as no-one deserves to go through this sort of hell.

01/08/2009 - POSTED NOA1 to VSC

01/13/2009 - RECEIVED NOA1, Case Pending

02/06/2009 - TOUCHED - Finacee moved so I presume that was the reason for it

05/20/2009 - Contacted Congressman's Alan Grayson's Offices to ask for assistance on our case, He agrees

06/13/2009 - 5 months and nothing, not even from our congressman :( Were is our NOA2!!!!!!

06/16/2009 - Our congressman actually made contact us for the first time in 4 weeks only to tell us they had written our address down wrong so here we are, still stuck in limbo with not a clue what's happenening

06/17/2009 - Called NVC on a off chance they might have it and they do!!!!! Woop woop. All we need now is that hard copy and were set!

06/17/2009 - NVC send our visa and petition to the london embassy - My packet 3 is on the way, woop woop!

06/19/2009 - Recieved NOA2 in the post, dated 06/11/2009. The panicing is over.....for now

07/01/2009 - Reeceived Packet 3 in the post, woop woop

Sounds like a good idea, I told them that I haven't gotten the NOA2 yet and they told me to F*#!k off.

LOL Jimbeezy. I get pretty much the same thing when I call.

Plus, I've decided that it's more depressing being told "No approval" or "We don't have it" than doing nothing. So for now, I'm gonna sit back & wait. In 5 days, though, I'll make a formal service request if still no NOA2.

I did call my senator's office to ask if USCIS responds to them or to me. Turns out USCIS will send a letter to the senator's office, and they'll forward it on to me. I'd think that a phone call or email would be easier than all this letter mailing. Guess someone has to keep the US Postal Service in business.

I got home from work on Friday & checked my mailbox. No NOA2. I then went back inside & checked the USCIS website. No NOA2... BUT!!! .... I got a touch!

After checking that site EVERY SINGLE DAY since my last touch on January 1 and seeing no change, I find this touch highly encouraging. Trying not to count my chickens too soon, but I'm
