I got my NOA2 today in the mail. A day after I found out through NVC (not USCIS) that I was approved.

omg great news congrats...hope the rest of us jan filers get approved....very exited for u

Well for some reason, Jan the USCIS officer, just told me that they are working on cases from november 08! and it will take 2 months to get to ours. I don't know whether to laugh and take it as BS or cry because its the truth!

01/08/2009 - POSTED NOA1 to VSC

01/13/2009 - RECEIVED NOA1, Case Pending

02/06/2009 - TOUCHED - Finacee moved so I presume that was the reason for it

05/20/2009 - Contacted Congressman's Alan Grayson's Offices to ask for assistance on our case, He agrees

06/13/2009 - 5 months and nothing, not even from our congressman :( Were is our NOA2!!!!!!

06/16/2009 - Our congressman actually made contact us for the first time in 4 weeks only to tell us they had written our address down wrong so here we are, still stuck in limbo with not a clue what's happenening

06/17/2009 - Called NVC on a off chance they might have it and they do!!!!! Woop woop. All we need now is that hard copy and were set!

06/17/2009 - NVC send our visa and petition to the london embassy - My packet 3 is on the way, woop woop!

06/19/2009 - Recieved NOA2 in the post, dated 06/11/2009. The panicing is over.....for now

07/01/2009 - Reeceived Packet 3 in the post, woop woop

That's #######! I called USCIS yesterday morning and a guy told me they were working on NOV's as well. I told him that no they are now kicking out February's petitions. He said he is just giving info that USCIS provides them. Then I called NVC yesterday afternoon and that is when I found out they had my case and USCIS approved it on 6-5-09. I think USCIS is wasting money by even having these people answer the phones. I think your better off calling NVC every couple of days or so and speaking to someone and ask if they have received your case yet. They are much nicer and you just give them your USCIS number. Dont bother using the electronic system with NVC either. I dont think it registers K1 petitions. I think me calling my senators office helped push mine through. When I called him today to let him know I got my approval he even said that he noticed here lately that when they contact USCIS (poking around at USCIS as he put it) regarding people's cases they magically get their approvals. At first I didnt think he did anything but now I know he had.. I also told him today that my file was at NVC but they put me in "additional processing". He said he has a contact there and will email them to see if he can help get us passed this too.

Well beleive me when I say I'm delighted for you to get yours and I hope you a smooth process for the rest of the way. I've tried going down the congressman route and they haven't even got back to me after 3 1/2 weeks after several emails and calls. Sometimes I feel like its never going to happen for us and they've lost our case or just completely ignoring it. I called NVC before calling USCIS and they said said if I haven't recieved my approval then they wouldn't have our case. Times are going to get a lot tougher before they get better for us I think.

Anyone notice that the Vermont site is saying they are back-logged and they are showing a date of Novenember 2008 for K1 visa?

:angry::angry::angry::angry::angry::devil: How have they managed to sneak loads of febs in before this massive setback! I feel like this bs is never going to end. I guess I owe Jan, the uscis phone awnserer, an apology......but then again maybe not. So its going to be 2 months before they get to us then. FANTASTIC

so does this really mean we still have to wait 2 months? I remember seeing 10 months for k-1 on that time frames, couple of months ago. I guess this is really gonna take 10 months. I hope not more.

Jim, did you send registered mail?

Not quite sure what you mean by registered mail dude. I sent Vermont Service Center the I129f petition through regular mail. I'm in Norfolk as well by the way.

This just in........
