i want so badly for you guys to get your NOA2's. i wish i knew their system of choosing who gets one and who has to wait. is there an official way they process the cases or is it like an assembly line and whoever gets the case can take their sweet time with it? even though i am now waiting on our case to get done at NVC and go on to the consulate, you guys are still on my mind. im praying for you and hoping you get good news soon[ asap!] the only reason i could think of would be background checks or lazy workers at USCIS. hang in there..........

I like the way you think. While we are at it I think we should all take that spare packet that we sent to USCIS and sent it to our Embassy's with APPROVED stamped all over it.

Hmm, now that we'll be approving our own 129's I'm thinking back to 1903 when my family immigrated to the US. I don't think my great grandfather was waiting on a reply, he bought passage and came. Seems the more simplified has become the most complicated.

Okay my January peeps... I just called NVC just to see if they had my case and they DID! You would think I would be bouncing off the freaking walls right now but the man told my I was in "additional processing". What the? Is this ever going to be over? From what I read up on VJ it has to do with background checks. Who knows? Just something else to kill me on over.. More waiting but prayerfully not that long..

Hi! :)

From what I understand (and really I don't know that much, but from what the representative said at the senator's office), is that they might have to do some sort of name check, ie if they find a similar name in some database, they have to resolve it. Or if beneficiary has been in USA. Or someone was married before, etc. Or just someone with a similar name is in one of their databases.

We were in additional processing for 10 or 11 days. I started to really worry. Right when I started to worry a LOT, I was told that the case was complete and that it would be sent out that day. Based on what i have seen here, it additional processing could be 1-8 weeks. Maybe yours will be like ours! Good luck!
