January '09 Vermont K-1 Filers

So as long as I sent my Birth Certificate, I should be ok right? I didn't send all the pages of my passport, only the ones with the stamps to see my fiance. But my Birth Certificate is fine, right?

According to the instructions, you should be fine. I sent in my birth certificate, and many pages from my passport to show entry dates into Australia and other countries that my fiance and I went to together. That should suffice according to the guidelines.

mine was a one thick folder. beside the requirement form, this is what i enclose as proof.

original letter of intent (both parties)

beneficiary birth certificate

copy of passport - all pages including front and back cover

copy of US citizens certificate (front&back)

call history - i enclosed 6 months and highlight phone number since it's a calling card.

picture - i think it was 15

airline tickets, expense receipts, and engagement ring receipts

What is US Citizen's certificate? and 15 pictures??? I thought it said on this website that you could send a maximum of 5?!

LOL we sent in a few more than five too!! I'm sure it's ok though. Tim and I met in 2006 and we have a picture of us on the day we met. So I thought that might look good attached to his letter of meeting each other. Then of course each trip to see each other, ( in the past 2 years that would equal 5 times ) and we also included pictures of the watches he gave me, one for my birthday in '07 and at the time of engagement. I don't have a ring, but a watch...it's so beautiful and delicate. He also took a couple of pictures from a scrapbook that I did up for him for Christmas of '07, just to show the thread of how our relationship grew. Plus all the forms that they required and ongoing proof of relationship. When they get to our file...they'll have to have a good cup of tea, put their feet up on the desk...and enjoy the story!!

Yep bithcertificate will be fine. I sent both but I used the passport as part of my proof of having meet, The passport was stamped showing I was in the Philippines to go with other evidence. I kind of did over kill on evidence with photos, plane tickets, photos, etc . Good Luck to you.

As long as you follow the guides you should all be fine. I had all the items documented on my cover letter and placed it in order respectively and just hole punched everything and placed a metal fastener on top. When they receive it anyway they will just pull it all apart and set it up how they want it anyway so I wouldnt stress too much..good luck January filers!!!!

Hi! I sent mine on 1/9/09. However, on 1/17 I got it back with a letter saying I use wrong revision dated I-129F form and to use correct form and resubmit everything. So, I have sent it again but the post office was not open today as it was a holiday so it till technically go out again tomorrow 1/20. So now the waiting starts again. Good luck everyone!

Good Luck everyone starting the journey. I recently got my NOA2. I wanted to let everyone know what I included in my I-129F as proof in my packet hopefully to ease some minds. Of course all the required documents but beyond that:

Copy of letter sent out to relatives announcing engagement, date stamped picture of us taken with that announcement, photo copies of 8 postcards, copies of 2 boarding passes, copy of engagement ring receipt, copy of my US birth certificate front and back, only the pages of my passport with stamps (I noticed someone else did this, was fine for me), 6 copies of cards with the letters showing dates for congrats on engagement, 1 copy of a birthday card, 3 copies of emails, 17 photos of us together at different cities and places over the years with details and dates written on the backs. Now we have been together over 4 years and that was all we included. I have binders full of instant messages and piles of phone records but did not send any of that in. I am sure more than this is great and less than this amount is fine too since this is a collection of 4 years of stuff.

I remember all too well how panic I was about did I send enough or too much. Be as calm as you can (I know that is impossible) but there are plenty of people here on VJ willing to help. Again Good Luck to everyone

Ain't that the truth!! I had our file so that each trip went in chronological order, and I'm sure everything will just get moved around! Each part of package was in it's own file folder, including one that says "mutual intent" where our letters, and engagement cards, etc are in. Tim and I have 2 years of relationship, and now I think we probably could have gotten away with one or two trips to see each other...

This is only based on VJ members and not the other 1000's out there that are in the visa process, but it is quite handy, although it can get quite depressing if you dont move in the right direction on the list.
