Okay, glad you guys are still here. But listen to this. Im officially way too worried about this. I had a dream last night that I got the letter in the mail. I ripped it open and could not see where it said "approved". I was reading through the papers and from what it read it was denied and the reason: I had breast cancer on one side. I was freaking out calling them because I didnt have breast cancer. The guy on the phone apologized saying they had me mixed up with someone else and would send a request over to have it corrected.

The stress is getting to be to much guys..

i had a dream also that i got the NOA2 in the mail. was so happy...but it was just a dream. try to keep it together, i know its hard. those of us that havent got our approval yet are all going thru the same thing, so u r not alone. hang in there and we will all freak out at the same time after the 6 month mark. did u call your senator/congressman yet? do that before u totally lose it.....i plan to. im telling you- on July 9 six months is up and if i havent heard anything by then, i will be calling someone every day.

I think it worried me about the breast cancer part. Yikes! Hope that wasnt some sign of something. But this is not the first dream I had. I had a dream that I was on the phone with a lady at USCIS and she told me my case was approved and the letter was on the way... Yes, I called my local rep on Friday and he faxed me a privacy notice that I signed and faxed back so maybe he will get on it Tuesday...

Can't wait for this long weekend to end! Two days with no mail just makes me even more crazy! And I thought filing in January would mean that May would be the month to celebrate... instead I am just feeling more stressed every day. Thanks for giving me a place to share my feelings with others who understand!

Turning 40 on the 31st seems to sound harder the closer it gets...... :(

We feel your pain. I think coming to this post helps me. At least I dont feel so alone and know there are others out here waiting and going through the same pain as me.

Hello compatriots in waiting,

Just when I was beginning to abandon hope, I received my NOA2 in the mail last week (NOA1 filed 1/13). Yet more evidence that at least some Vermont bureaucrats are at their desks and not out tapping maple syrup ; )

We have been celebrating this wonderful news, and I pray that all of you would also soon have cause for celebration. But let's also not forget that though the longest wait may now be over, there's still a lot more paperwork and waiting ahead. Whether its the end of the beginning or the beginning of the end, there are still many more steps ahead. Trying to trust God one step at a time!

CONGRATS!!!! very happy fo you!!!! i literally just got home from visiting my sweetheart for the long weekend. lots of tears today :crying: . nothing good in the mailbox. i will hang in there/ hold on because i have no choice. i cannot just give up on something/someone so special. i do plan to call my rep, soon- in a week or two. July is my 6 months , so im trying to give it time b4 i call but dont think i can wait til July.....its the sitting around feeling powerless thats the worst. at least if i make a phone call, i feel like im being pro-active in the process, you know, doing something to make something happen. i do worry that making the call might cause someone to pull my case and slow things down, but thats a chance i will take. anyway, to all my fellow Jan filers...hang in there  [ telling myself this too! ] we should all hear something soon. and thanks to VJ- being able to come here, share my misery  [ and happieness :D ] with others that are going thru the same ordeal, really is a help. good luck to everyone

Yeah, we were reading about the process online and u r right about more waiting and paperwork. i feel confident but i had to reassure her becuz it does seem daunting. She was losing hope [she felt like even after we get the NOA2, we could still be in for a letdown] becuz we read that you can still be denied at;

1. the interview and

2. at the POE[ point of entry to the US

its like that show on G4, Ninja warrior- you make it thru stage one [ noa1 and 2 ] but you havent won yet..you still gotta get thru the interview and getting in the USA...AND THEN...comes the AOS and other stuff. personally i think its all downhill after the noa2. its supposed to move faster after you get the noa2 and as long as your relationship is real and your forms are in order, there shouldnt be a problem. at least that what i hope. i did a k1 before and it went smooth but that was b4 9-11- things have changed a bit. hoping for a good outcome

Man what a let down. I recently called up the military sevice helpline at USCIS to expedite our case (due to me transfering) and they gave me a receipt number and said they would contact me in a few days. It has been more than a week and no contact. I guess I can't do anything but wait and wait some more. It has started to the point where I have counted how many days since the Vermont Service Center has received my case (which was 137 days ago). Normally I have good patience but I'm starting to lose it. Sounds kind of selfish but I am happy that I am not the only January Vermont Filer to be in this mess.

This just in........

It has been 139 days for me...nothing is changing, not even getting any information from uscis...there is now one more month for them to approve it, otherwise they go over their processing times..

Just got our NOA2. We sent it in the last day of January. It was dated May 13th however and took 2 weeks to get to us.

I hope the rest of you hear good news soon. I think our case may have gone a bit quicker because we have known each other 17 years and gave them crazy proof of that with pictures from our prom 16 years ago and all that jazz.

But again, GOOD LUCK to you all and don't lose hope. It's coming.

Seems like a lot of filers in May had delays of 2-3 weeks in getting the NOA1. So perhaps they had a backlog of outgoing mail? Here's hoping a lot of folks find their NOA2 in the mailbox this week!

I never would have believed my journey to happiness would begin with something called an "I-129F"

03/19/09 - I-129F Sent

03/20/09 - NOA1 (rec'd harcopy 3/26/09)

03/24/09 - Check cleared

03/25/09 - Touched

8/12/09 - Touched (4 hours before NOA2 email)

8/12/09 - NOA2 email received

***Received email at noon (Weds)

***USCIS site did update with the status

***Was 113 on Berkeley list; 156 on VJ list
