I have a question: Do you think that getting the senators/ reps involved puts bad name on your app? Like will it be "marked" and they will see you as a trouble maker at the embassy involved at the time of the interview?

Yay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

Today I checked the uscis site, and our case appears!! It says our was approved and that they sent an approval notice on May 21!!!!!!!!!!!

Yesterday nothing was on the site (yesterday was the 21st), I even called yesterday and 2nd level "customer service" said you will you have to wait 6-8 months for a decision, but it looks like they had already approved it!

Thank you to everyone on this board! Especially Gary!!

Congratulations. Im thinking I need to contact my senators office now...

Yeah...all of you guys should contact to your Senator...what is Vermont Center doing? it has been 136 days after noa1..nothing changed :angry::angry:

I dont think the embassy really cares who made inquiries on the case. They are more concernec about the validity of the relationship. It doesnt hurt to contact ur Senator

Hey everyone, just thought I'd post up some news about my case. IT"S DRIVING ME EFFIN CRAZY!!! I submitted my case and received my NOA1 January 9th. No updates no NOA2 no nothing. I know I have until July 9th before I really start to flip out but there are other cases where people have filed after I have, and received theire NOA2 before I have. I am happy for those people but at the same time I'm like what the heck is going on over there? I know it depends on the immigration officer working on the case working on background checks etc., but I have been in the military for the past 8 years. To top that off, it should be easy to do my background check because I WORK IN THE DEPARTMENT OF HOMELAND SECURITY. And now, I am up for orders to transfer at any moment to a new duty station. Woe is me.

we filed around the same time and other than getting a RFE, its the same. including the going crazy part. you may have an ace card though, since you are up to be tranferred. who knows , it might work.

Based on the trend i've seen on VJ, those who get an RFEs usually get thier NAO2 about a month from thier RFE date.

We are hoping that everyone gets a quick approval! Especially to those who have been waiting longer than us! And thanks to all who supported us!!! We are thinking of all of you and wishing to those who already have their approval that the rest of the process will be easy!

I don't know if it made any difference, but because we were never visible on line, we got transferred to the next level of customer service. I called constantly, and one soul seemed to take pity on me and did what she called a "service inquiry." I got some reference number too for it. I don't know if that made a difference or not, or if it were just our time!

Good luck!!!!!!

Lol, I am right here with you. I check here many times a day myself as well as USCIS website, although I think that may be pointless. I was thinking this morning, this is going to be a looooong weekend with Monday being a holiday. Normally I would think of that as a good thing because time off from work, more time to relax, but now, it means one more day USCIS is not working for me to get my NOA2! We just have to try to hang in there. ~Jan~

Hey guys, i havent been on here much cuz i am with my honey in Trinidad even as i type this. happy to be here with her but we are disappointed as we check online for any movement on our case. Uscis has done nothing on its site as far as our case  . im hoping when i get home, there's a letter[NOA2] waiting in my mailbox. i was going to wait to call in the santor or congressman, but i may make that phone call when i get back. just really ready to get this over with.....for those that called the senator, please keep us posted with how that goes.....

Okay, glad you guys are still here. But listen to this. Im officially way too worried about this. I had a dream last night that I got the letter in the mail. I ripped it open and could not see where it said "approved". I was reading through the papers and from what it read it was denied and the reason: I had breast cancer on one side. I was freaking out calling them because I didnt have breast cancer. The guy on the phone apologized saying they had me mixed up with someone else and would send a request over to have it corrected.

The stress is getting to be to much guys..

MsTam, that's strange.

I stopped putting much stock in dreams, though. I dreamed a couple of weeks ago that I got my NOA2 in the mail. Then I woke up.

I've dreamed that someone from USCIS actually called me. Then I woke up.

I've dreamed that my love was here with me. Then I woke up.

Dreams can be painful once you wake up.
