OMG people! .. I think Im beyond obsessed:

This is turning into a daily ritual. everyday, several times a day, im checking the uscis site and my email. i skip checking the regular mailbox that much to cut down on disappointment :crying: . i honestly dont think they update the uscis site that often, but thats just my opinion. but i know they send emails notifications, cuz i've gotten those. somedays i tell myself not to check, somehow hoping if i dont look , it [ NOA2 notification email ] will appear. the original letter i got from them when i had to do the RFE, said it takes 14 days min. to process, so i know i have that long before i should even expect anything but its hard not to look. and that min time is approaching fast-5/14/09. gonna say a prayer tonite that we all get ours soon- like this month would be nice. Hang in there folks- we are all going a little  over this waiting, but until 6 months have passed, USCIS wont do a thing, so its no good realllt freaking out before its time to freak out- i have to keep telling myself this.

The NVC automated system doesn't work for K1 visas for some reason-i phoned it first and the automated message told me that it hadn't received our case, but then i spoke to an advisor and they told me that they had received it and also that it had been sent to the embassy. So you should ring back and speak to someone x

Thanks for the info! I just called NVC and spoke with someone this time and they said it was sent a week ago!

Congrats! Happy for you- looks like your case is sliding thru without any delays [you got your NOA2 fast! ] makes you wonder why some cases are taking so long. in my case, i had an RFE which i'm sure is causing the delay, but others havent. Anyway, good luck to you. I'm sure you two will be in the states together soon.

Thank you very much! Everything has been going really well. Today I called the Department of State and they said that the embassy received our petition and already sent my fiancee Packet 3. Hopefully she gets it sometime this week. Best of luck to you too. It appears that most people get their NOA2 approvals pretty soon after they send in their RFE.

Just a tip to speed things up- i dont know if this will work in Columbia but i was told i could do it in Trinidad. the Trini mail is notoriously slow- i sent my woman a card last year and she still hasnt gotten it- so i asked the embassy ahead of time, if she could pick up her packets and drop them off. they said yes. that could cut out a week [ or in Trinidad, more ] of time and waiting. like i said, might not be able to - but worth a shot to ask. Good luck!

Yeah the Colombia mail is also very slow. We actually just read in the Colombia embassy section that we can send in the packet 3 forms as soon the embassy receives our approved petition. Fortunately, Alejandra lives pretty close to the embassy so she is going to drop that off tomorrow instead of sending it by mail. Hopefully we will have the interview date very soon. Thanks for the tip. Best of luck to you!

In Jamaica, you have to have an appointment just to drop off the DS230 (isn't that crazy!).
