Just wanted to say that I had an update on 05/01/09, but nothing else changed. I didn't get an email or any kind of status change. :( Don't really know what that means except that I fired my attorney and he removed himself from my case. (I received a copy of the letter he sent uscis the same day.) I don't know if they would post an update for that or not.

CSC has had no activity either. Maybe they are updating software or having a week long training session.

Just when they were starting to do the application around mine. My luck, :hehe:

5/20/2009 #175 finally... things really slowed down!!

6/17/2009 #135 Seems like everyone but me is getting their papers. She won't be here during my summer break but I am still hoping for an August interview. (This just furthers my mistrust of government. So inefficient at everything they do. Lord help the health care system once they "FIX" it.)

8/13/2009 #74 NOA2 its about time :)

Timeline

02/02/2009 NOA1

02/05/2009 touched

08/13/2009 NOA2 (They did some quality control type things on my forms at the NVC. Lucky me. More delays without any RFE needed from me.)

09/28/2009 Arrives at Bogota finally

10/20/2009 Interview set for December 2

*Note Congressmen and Senators are about worthless in this process. One did find out the "Quality Control" thing that the Visa operator did not mention. The NVC just kept giving me the 5 to 7 business days answer even after 20 days.

VISAJOURNEY is the only source for good answers. Thanks guys.

I've read in a few places where it says USCIS had some deadline for immigrant work visas and they have switched to work on those for the deadline. So that may explain why no one seems to be working on our visa petitions right now (Vermont or Cali). I am just hoping they will switch back very soon, this pause is very annoying for everyone waiting. SO I am just praying they complete those this week so they can get moving on ours again by next week.

i hate to ask a dumb question, but what does "touched" mean? someone at USCIS handled your case? and how do you know if you've been"touched? is it the last date any activity happened , seen on the USCIS site? if so, i havent been "touched" since April 26. Actually, i havent been "touched" since Valentines Day when i saw my honey! sorry no pun intended, but this waiting is getting me a little delirious.

Yes. That's what it means. Supposedly, every time someone at USCIS handles your file, they scan it & the date on the website changes. That's a "touch."
