Thanks. I usually loose hope for the day once it hits 6ish eastern time. Does anyone know if the NOA2 emails get received at all hours or only during work hours?

Okay, so I just called USCIS. I got a gentleman who was actually very nice. So, I told him my concerns about how I filed in January and know of several people who have got their approvals who filed after me. And this concerned me and I want to make sure they still have my petition and it was not lost. He told me they are just now processing Octobers petitions and would be awhile before Januarys would be processed. He then questioned what I told him about knowing of people who got approved who filed after me. I told him about VJ, as Im sure he is aware of the site working for USCIS, and how we post when we file and when we get approvals so this is how I know about the late january filer approvals. He then said that the petitions go through a series of checks and some peoples checks come back faster than others and this could explain why they are approved already. Did this help me any? Nope. Just hate sitting around waiting, waiting, waiting so I figured I would call and get the run around. At least it killed some time. :clock:

I have been wondering the same. Maybe there is a problem on the website. Maybe they haven't done any, really I don't understand the problem. But I know I am very anxious and hoping for our NOA2 any day and breaks like this are driving me insane!

At least he said they were working on October filers... I called last week and they said they were working on September filers. I also told them that I saw late January filers being approved and I filed in November and so was concerned. The girl I talked to wasn't pleasant and said they weren't working on January filers... they were working on September... we basically went around and around and got nowhere... I got off the phone upset :( I'm not sure why my case would be held up in checks... Nick and I have not a single charge on our records... in fact my last speeding ticket was in 1996 (knock on wood) and other than that we have squeaky clean records. We also have no previous marriages and no children... I'm guessing we got a slow worker and will be waiting a while...

According to the Q&A below, some adjudicators were allowed to take cases home, at least at one point and at this service center. It's older and the center is no longer operating. But that could explain why some notifications go out at strange hours (I have seen reference to 6:00 am, as well).

My hope is to get mine reviewed after the second gin and tonic, but before the sixth.

Just relax folks. I know it's tough but it will happen. Each and every day you wake you are one day closer to being united. Waiting builds character and strengthens your relationship in ways that will last a lifetime.

Anyway, we have an accountant at the company I work for, that often does works at night like this when she is home. Records are stored on a server and she processes billings via the intranet. Perhaps they have a system as such.

i called uscis [ several times ] and have spoken to people- you have to get tricky to actually speak to anyone, i say i need to change my address . when i asked the person i spoke to if they were in the vermont , he said no, they were a call center and he basically was giving me scripted answers. i dont think its possible to actually speak to anyone working on a case using that number on the uscis site. i was grateful for his honesty but disappointed that i wasnt able to get the proper info. there has to be an inside line or something

okay, i wanted to try this again- just to test my theory. i called uscis again, got a person on the phone[ instead of a machine ] and asked if i could find out where in the process my case was. again, i got the same scripted answer from a different person and no informative help. Bascially, it does no good to call them- unless its been longer than 6 months and you have had no action on your case. then , they are supposed to do something- what? i dont know. hopefully i wont have to find out. im being optimistic that the NOA2 will be rolling in within the next 3 weeks. if not, that is when panic mode will start to kick in :bonk::blink::help: !!!!! im starting to see a few Jan vermont filers start to get their NOA2's but im not sweating yet cuz i had to do a RFE, which probably delayed thinsg a bit on mine. so , i will play it cool for 3 more weeks. if no news by then, will have to come up with a plan of action. anyone else out there got their NOA2 yet?

I am really wondering what is going on since there has been no action since 4/30 showing on Igor's list for approvals at VSC. It's just strange that there is nothing new at all in the past 4 business days for Vermont. I also checked California's Igor's list and there has only been 1 approval there since 4/28 and it was dated 5/4. I really wish we had some way of knowing what's up. It's frustrating. :(
