Hi Everyone! I am here in the US through K1 Visa. About 6 months ago I recieved my Green Card (Permanent Resident) but my husband and I are planning to get a divorce. Things have been really rough and I am ready for whatever life brings. I just want to ask

1. If I can legally stay in the US even after we file for a divorce?

2. Will my Green Card (which expires in 2010) get cut off if we get a divorce?

3. What are the procedures on filing a divorce in California?

I would really like to stay here as my mom lives here too.. but if I cant then that is fine too. I would really appreciate any information you can give me. Thank you all for your time.

3. Google "divorce in California".

When the divorce is final you selp petition to remove conditions on your residency. Do not wait until three months before the expiration.
