fried stuff should be OK like samosas, pakoras etc. but make sure it is fresh and hasn't been sitting around.

yeah if you see it come right out of the vat of oil with your own eyes its cool.

I love onion Bhajees, but they're probably as bad for you as that Awesome Blossom.

Yeah. It's ok to have 1 from time to time, if you can stop at 1 that is.

Well a typical UK restaurant serving is 3. They can range in size too - the ball shaped ones are the best IMO. The patties are blatantly out of the packet frozen.

I suppose it depends where you go when eating out. I can imagine some places you can get a meal for two at or around $30, but you'd need to be exceptionally frugal to do so. In any event, I'd recommend going out to dinner less often and when you do go out, you can splurge a little. Why bother eating out at someplace that serves only so-so food? That seems like a waste of money to me. Cook dinner at home most of the time and when you do go out, you'll have some money stored up to go somewhere really nice.

Sometimes you get back late from work and don't want to deal with cooking at 8, 9 or 10pm. Easier to go out.

That's true. Barring that situation, however, I think it'd be better to save up and go out somewhere a little "nicer."

According to MDConsult's drug info for typhoid vaccine, no mention is made of typhoid vaccination protecting from anything besides typhoid itself.

The thing I'm most amazed at, however, is the concept you can "buy a lot of groceries" for $30 or so. I don't know what you're getting, but while my wife and I aren't rich, the grocery bill usually comes out to least twice that. Usually more. Of course, we purchase more at one time so we don't have to go grocery shopping every week (if we can avoid it).

for $30 I could get some meat or fish for one meal and then a few veggies and a starch to go with it. i don't know how you can get a lot for $30 either.

I ordered Indian food for lunch. Today they have a buffet menu. We got chicken biriyani, chicken 65 and fish (cant recall the name) plus halwa. All for $11, fed both my husband & I for lunch with another meal leftover.

Now had we ordered this separate - it would have been a $40 meal. I <3 my poor buffet lunch!

Buffets are usually different. You can get a lot of food for relatively very little money. Of course, most buffets have sub-standard food. Some don't, but they're harder to come by and you will pay more.

In this case, the buffet menu is the same as what one would order for sit down. I still prefer to pay 11 than 40 in this case!

I don't like buffets because everything is batch cooked and it sits out for awhile before they change it unless it's a really popular item or the place is really busy.
