I got a letter from NVC asking me to send original marriage certificate and birth certificate.

The concern I have is will I get them back? These documents are very hard to get replaced.

I-130 submitted: 10/01/2008

I-130 Approved: 10/21/2008

NVC AOS RFE: 01/01/2009

NVC approval: 01/23/2009

You most likely won't get to see any of this documents ever again, unless you file to get them back but that could take months. The best thing to do is to get several certified copies of anything you need to get so you can have extras.

08/08/07 - Case Complete

09/27/07 - Interview, visa granted

10/02/07 - POE

11/16/07 - Received green card and Welcome to America letter in the mail

Removing Conditions

07/06/09 - I-751 sent to CSC

08/14/09 - Biometrics

09/27/09 - Approved

10/01/09 - Received 10 year green card

U.S. Citizenship

03/30/11 - N-400 sent via Priority Mail w/ delivery confirmation

05/12/11 - Biometrics

07/20/11 - Interview - passed

07/20/11 - Oath ceremony - same day as interview
