hello everyone!

add me to this one as well (: i got approved on the Jan. 9th!

and congrats to everyone else who has gotten approved. wish the best of luck to everyone!

Help! Samir and I were so eager to get the NOA2 and now we feel like two fish out of water. I am scared and nervous about these next few procedures. When should I expect my NOA2 hard copy? When do I need to start calling NVC? How much time is on our hands to submit the documents? When do we submit the Affadavit of Support? I have a lawyer but he acts like he is waiting on the hard copy and then he will have us gather the information needed. I am really confused though as to what we are about to do. I have read the guides but I guess I am just nervous and still wondering if this approval was a dream. I guess when the lawyer gets my NOA2 it will finally kick in. But now I just feel like I need really good advice from you all. I think we are going with the K3 for now because that is what we had previously informed the lawyer. He is okay with us going either route, but not sure if we have to pay him extra money. I guess he will instruct us either way. I am scared he will slow us down but then again an RFE for a negligent action on our behalf will also slow us down. Therefore, if the lawyer can be sure all the documents are properly filled out we should be straight Insha'Allah/God's willing. Please pray for us everyone and we will do the same for you all.

Do not worry; we are here to help each other. I was overwhelmed by the post-approval process (NVC as well as consulate) but "waithatter" helped me understand the process and pretty much calms things down.

Now to answer your questions ...

I received hard copy of NOA2 (130 and 129F ) on 10th Jan 09.

To understand the NVC process, please use the LingChe's guide.

PS: I have not hired lawyer for this process.

shoud I wait for Noa2 hard copy or can I call NVC for Number

Do not wait for the hard copy. Call them @ 603.334.0700

Option 1 (For English)

Option 5 (For operator)

I use to call them 3 times a day

- early morning around 7:45am

- afternoon around 2:30pm

- at night around 08:45pm

I'm going to join the January approvals club with you all! Congrats to everyone as we go through the NVC process! How exciting!

I'm preparing all the documents....just got my NVC Case # last night, checked the AVR this morning and it was put into the computers as well.

Has anyone called about the DS-3032 being generated? Will it say in the AVR or do you need to check with someone?

Thanx dude with your advice kept on calling they received my case and I GOT my NVC number for I-130 when I asked about 129F she said I can only talk about one case anyway she was pretty good.what should be my next move should I wait for two days or shouls i call them for DS3032 and one more query how do we know 129F received by consulate my case Madras.

Congrats!!!

It would take about 2 days to input your details into their system. But you can start calling them from 2nd day and ask for

1. Have they send I129F to the consulate?

2. Have they generated DS3032?

You'll get a standard reply that "We have received your application on XX January. It would take about 4 to 6 weeks for the next step."

But keep calling them and ask for the status.

My I129F has not been send to Mumbai consulate and DS3032 has not been generated. I am hoping it would be tomorrow.

I forgot to mention that NOW it's time to collect all the necessary documents (if you do not have them). Especially police clearance certificate, passport clearance certificate, overseas police clearance certificate (if applicable). For more information, please refer to LingChe's guide.

Okay. so I called again today and asked if NVC generated the IV fee bill, since they received my DS-3032, to which NVC rep said that they do not generate IV fee bill until they receive the AOS documentation. I am a little puzzled, because from my understanding of the process, the IV fee bill is generated after DS-3032 is received by them, isn't it?

You should always speak to operator, do not rely on AVR most of the time avr wont even update your case. It always safe to speak to live operator.

Okay. so I called again today and asked if NVC generated the IV fee bill, since they received my DS-3032, to which NVC rep said that they do not generate IV fee bill until they receive the AOS documentation. I am a little puzzled, because from my understanding of the process, the IV fee bill is generated after DS-3032 is received by them, isn't it?

That operator who give this info are totally wrong, because aos and IV fee are two different part. You might want to call them again regarding your IV fee.

My 129F was forwarded to the consulate on 12th Jan 2009.

DS3032 was accepted on Jan 13th. Now waiting for AOS bill to arrive in mail to pay AOS fee and IV fee.
