I've gotten 4 letters from NVC, all with different dates ranging from 1/9-1/15 stating that our k3 will be forwarded to the consulate "within a week"

anyone else get multiple letters like this? just curious

Yes, I did received 3 letters from NVC dated Jan. 12 (the date when my case was forward to the consulate) till Jan 14. Please refer to the posts within this thread.

well, appartently you cant go by the first dated letter, or the second, maybe not even the third :hehe: ...consulate still has not received our 129f as of today.

Lisa,

When did NVC say they forwarded your I-129f consulate? It usually takes 3 days from the time NVC shipped your case through DHL. I track mine and as soon as I saw my case reached consulate my wife sent packet 3 the next day.

Well, they havent...I received the four letters, the earliest dated 1/9/8, They all said the 129f would be sent to the consulate "within the week". ???

Consulate asked me to check back next week. See, I keep contacting them because I needed to change husbands address. So, I'll bug them again next Monday.

Your wife sent the packet 3 to them without waiting for them to mail it to her? I wonder if Amman would accept that.

As long as consulate have packet 3 on there website, I am sure you can send it in. As of right now my wife have not receive packet 3 from consulate and consulate said they sent it on Jan 12th so, instead of waiting for packet 3 it is wise to send it in.

Cool. Good Luck on the interview :star:

"you fondle my trigger then you blame my gun"

Timeline: 13 month long journey from filing to visa in hand

If you were lucky and got an approval and reunion with your loved one rather quickly; Please refrain from telling people who waited 6+ months just to get out of a service center to "chill out" or to "stop whining" It's insensitive, and unecessary. Once you walk a mile in their shoes you will understand and be heard.

Thanks!

Hey! I am also at the Islamabad embassy girls don't forget me! I'm waiting for the interview and going too! So, what can we do to try to get a shorter AP time? Is having the papers in check a way to prevent it or is that just going to happen no matter what we do?

Mahitab

In my case, the US Consulate in Mumbai has received the letter and they have generated packet 3. My wife has not received it yet.

Mamalou,

Your husband can call 202.663.1225

Option 1

Option 0

He can tell them the I129F case # assigned by NVC and they should be able to tell you whether the consulate has received the petition.

belovedbyme,

Great! You should have two case numbers one for I-130 and one for I-129f. There will nothing on AVR about I-129f, you have to speak to rep to get the case number.

Good luck!
