Well this is sucking. My husband has some idea in his head that he is going to go to school here and become a CPA. Now, I have explained the financial situation, I have explained that life is hard and it will be hard enough to get a car and a job, no less a degree.

So, instead of words of love and caring and support, all I am getting is 'How much is this course? When does this class start?'

I am losing it here, girls. He almost canceled his interview in November and now, after todays talk, I am not so sure even if given the visa, he will leave Jordan. He likes his job there and is terrified of what he hears on the news about our economy.

I am not stuipd or naive. I am confused and scared, and really sinking back into depression. This one will have to go unmedicated as I can not afford to be sad this year too.

Pray for us to stay on the right track, cuz our trains are going into different directions.

The couch to the 5k will help with the sadness.

As far as what to tell your Husband I learned a trick from Waleed. Just tell them what they like to hear to sooth their minds because we don't know what the future is going to bring. The economy may get better for all we know. Waleed is always hounding me about visa time lines and I keep telling him it's a ####### shoot baby. He doesn't want to hear that so I tell him to pls stop asking me about that and research it for himself cos I can't take it anymore. Doing that takes the load off my shoulders and puts it back on him.

Thx Olivia. You are right, the exercise should help with the depression. And I have, up to this point, told him all encouraging things. It seems when I let real life in, he retreats from me.

I am not as strong as I was in May when we started this. I admit, I am not. I can't see the light at the end of the tunnel, its black at the end of my tunnel.

Well now that I totally am a bummer to this thread, how to lighten the mood? Let's dance some more for Lisa!

jackie, breathe, my friend. After the breath, tell him that if he wants to go to school, first he needs a job to make his family life (in the usa) stable, and then once he has saved up enough money to put himself through school, have at it baby. u're not denying him anything but just making it realistic for him. that's what I'd do.
