For all of those whose spouses have already arrived in US but haven't received anything from USCIS, my wife has received her 'Welcome Letter' after 21 days after she entered US.....The letter tells us to wait 30 days from date on the letter to receive Green Card. So back to more waiting.

2008-08-14: Package forwarded to NVC

2008-08-25: DS3032 Generated and AOS Bill Generated

2008-08-26: COA Emailed

2008-08-27: Paid AOS Bill (online)

2008-08-29: AOS Bill status "PAID" on NVC website

2008-08-29: AOS Bill and DS3032 hardcopy arrived in mail

2008-09-13: Paid IV Bill (online)

2008-09-05: COA Accepted by NVC

2008-09-05: Mailed I-864

2008-09-17: IV Bill status "PAID" on NVC website

Log on to USCIS website with the NOA-1 of that welcome letter. You should get email from CRIS when they start processing your wife's green card.

And now that you have got the welcome letter, I highly suggest you and your wife make a visit to Social security office, either they will have a number ready for her, if not then apply it that day itself and you should be getting the SSN in mail within one week.

And usually once you get the welcome notice, green card will be arriving shortly.

Congratulations!! My husband arrived on the 24th so we are still waiting for his welcome letter. Nice to have a point of reference for how long it will take!!
