Hi guys! Hope everyone had a nice New Year. I have a question about the bona fide marriage verification. When I sent I-130 petition I forgot to attach any of evidences of bona fide marriage such as an email, wedding pictures, letters, affidavits from the couple of friends etc. NOA #1 is dated July 9th. It is almost 6 month my waiting time. I have all the documents with me and ready to send to USCIS in Vermont. Should I send them with the cover letter right now or wait for RFE if they will ask for. I just wanted do not delay the process and spend more time with RFE, and also I scare about the documents to be losed. Please help me if you have any similar experience. Thank you for your help and support.

There are a few people who were approved who said they didnt send any supporting doc's in, just the proof that the marriage took place. I think it was quite a long time ago though.

I hope someone comes along with more info. Good luck!

If you were lucky and got an approval and reunion with your loved one rather quickly; Please refrain from telling people who waited 6+ months just to get out of a service center to "chill out" or to "stop whining" It's insensitive, and unecessary. Once you walk a mile in their shoes you will understand and be heard.

Thanks!

I've never seen any evidence newlyweds need any bona fide evidence with the petition. If they want some, they'll ask for it. Sending after the fact is a waste of time and effort.

Hi,

I didn`t send anything besides the marriage certificate. I read about that and i was worried too. I talked to my lawyer and she told me that she never tell her clients to send anything and she never had a denied visa before. I think if it was today, i would send pictures, proof of our trips together, but as i didn`t, after all this time, let`s just wait for the approval. Everything will be all right!!!!!

GOOD LUCK FOR US!!!

do yourselves a favor and do not send anything now. wait for them to ask for evidence which i highly doubt that they will. if you gave them proof that your wedding took place, then you should be fine.

Hi,

We didn`t send anything besides the marriage certificate, and we got approval for both I-130 and I-129F in December. They can ask some proof like pictures etc. during the interview. You don't need to worry about this right now. After you get your NOA2 you can start to collect all the emails, pictures, phone records etc.for the interview. Good luck!

btw we are going with K-3. NVC sent the file to the US Embassy in my country on the December 8th, but still I haven't heard anything from the embassy. Unfortunately we had many holidays here.. first our 10 day regional holiday, then christmas and new year holidays.. I called the embassy they said they will review the files this week. We prepared all the forms and documents.. as soon as the embassy informs us about they received the file I'll send everything to them and wait for the interview! Hoping to get the interview date in February.
