Ok Justashooter, I respect you. Thanks for sharing your position a little more in depth.

However, the argument you used which I read as you don't have sympathy for Gazans because their leadership are hypocritical, powerful, money grubbing war mongers. I have the same problem with ALL world leaders who aren't used to thinking in terms of what is actually beneficial for the populace, they follow their own agenda on whichever corrupted data they choose to listen to. Well my argument is, these men are ruining the world and causing more people to be dominated into doing things for their 'gov't' that they would normally never imagine.

Do you feel that all the things you went through in your service actually helped a single world problem? Do you not agree that there must be a better way then armed warfare?

i don't dislike the people. i dislike their beliefs and actions. these can be corrected, given enough time and the application of a few pounds of high explosive.

uneducated people are easily lead, especially if they can be convinced that they have a common enemy. the presence of a common enemy deflects examination better aimed at their leaders. today's china is a wonderful example. religion is a great tool for leading uneducated masses, and the gov't of china is lately embracing buddhism, in understanding of this. it substitutes an all seeing "god or gods" for a sometimes absent taskmaster, bringing better cooperation from the masses that are, in the case of non-secular islamic countries, deliberately uneducated.

i've always done what i thought was right, no matter the situation. this got me into a lot of hot water from both sides, and still does in the international business that supports my lifestyle at the moment. such is life.

Ok, so we agree, people can act as sheep and be herded by maniacs disguised as religious leaders. And religion is definitely the downfall which was, in my opinion, made by men to control men. However, we diverge when you say that lack of education, religious ideation, and desperate actions are appropriately dealt with by 'pounds of explosives'.

This war is Kadima's last chance to turn around Israeli public opinion. These knuckleheads

have lost in Lebanon and if they lose in Gaza, Israelis will most certainly elect a hardliner

like Netanyahu (or worse, Lieberman) who won't be so nice and will get the job done.
