And we're lucky to live in a country where our elected government chooses to use its funds to better our country by feeding us, providing jobs, and giving us electricity and not focus on obliterating the country next to it instead!

What country do you live in?

Obviously not the same liberal hell hole you live in.

A.J.,

You described my ex-inlaws so accurately. They didn't exactly like it when I bought a sparkling, new Jeep Wrangler Rubicon. They called my camo clothing "S-x-x-x". Good thing they are my ex-inlaws and I never have to speak to them again.

justashooter, you need to drag your azz into a slum in karachi or cairo some day... and say that to their faces ;)

ps yes i know karachi aint technically ME so shut it

my azz has been in some places you would still be shaking from.

thankfully, my "uncle" doesn't sign my checks anymore, so i don't have to go back.

part of walking out of a place like that in one piece is knowing just when and how hard to push.

my wife and i were watching the 5th (?) season of "24" last night. in the opening episode a series of terrorist attacks are occuring in the US. my wife asked me if it was possible that 20 terrorist attacks could occur in the US over a period of weeks. i told her that i could imagine no more than 3 as possible before vigilanteeism solved the problem. this is just how we do it in America. gung ho!

Wow. Racist much?

funny how people are unwilling to admit that 95% of terrorist acts are commited by middle eastern islamic men of 18-35 years of age, and that 95% of people who catch them are anglo WASP's of 30-50 years age.

is it racist to acknowledge a statistic that cannot be disputed?

95% of statistics are made up (including this one) :P

There are really two points, whether something is terrorism depends which side your on, and terrorism has been used by many different groups throughout history.

In recent history, terrorism was part of the violence in northern Ireland. We had supported terrorists and other rebel groups fighting against Nazi occupation during WW2.

In the end its all relative. When one side is fighting a very militarily unmatched war, the weaker side will resort to all sorts of tactics to either gain an advantage, or resist and create problems for the occupying army.

At least I CAN leave if I choose, unlike Gazans. Its amazing how strong they remain in a situation you refuse to even IMAGINE because you are the KING of your domain with no threat of human suffering reaching through your seemingly thick leather hide while reading about others ideas about what it is to be human. Lets hope you'll never have to starve or suffer through oppression, that you'll be able to remain intrepidly watching made for tv dramas on your couch with your wife while obliterating your contemporaries through threaded discourse.

Bravo for you!

one of the neat things about talking to others over the net is that we never really know who they are, or how they got to be that person. we didn't get to see it happen, and they didn't write the book, for one reason or another.

trust me, i know what it's like to have nothing and to be wanted by those that do. i know what it's like to live in an unheated abandoned apartment in the winter without running water or electricity. i know what it's like to take food from a neighbor or starve. i know what it's like to wear the same clothes for months on end. a haircut, or shave? a toothbrush? thought i'd never have another.

i know what it's like to live in a corrupted society, and to take what i need from someone else. this is why i am king of my realm. i know what it's like to have nothing and to be pursued. that was a long time ago, and i'm not going to write the book.

i watch 24 because i got it on bootleg discs in china for cheap, and don't have cable TV. maybe i watch a couple of hours a week. the bad guys get killed in the end, and the hero lives to fight another day. it helps to see it work out that way on film, when you've been dissapointed so many times in real life to see the bad guy get away, and the good guy take the hit. and yes, i suppose chinese prisons are that bad. chilean prisons are.

Well for starters - coming up with a statistic requires a mathematical calculation of some sort (i.e. how many terrorist acts, there in fact are - and dividing into it the amount carried out by muslims and multiplying by 100). You can't simply pull an arbitrary statistic out of the air and just make a claim that the figure can't be disputed.

Certainly a lot of terrorism is carried out by muslim radicals, perhaps even "most", but the problem here is that what constitutes a "terrorist" isn't as fixed in stone as many would like it to be. Hence the difficulty in compiling statistics on issues that rely on subjective interpretations of subjective values.

But anyway - my claim of racism has nothing do with what you said in your preceding post, rather it has everything to do with the statement you made about muslim men being "cowards" who "don't measure up to westerners".

As I said - there's no way to spin that. It IS racist, and the only way you can tackle it is by trying to change the subject (which you did).

i don't recall american revolutionaries in their fight against the british destroying non-military/political targets.

i don't recall american supported guerilla units in conflict with nazi germans destroying non-military/political targets.

true guerilla warface involves befriending the indigenous people and destroying military targets with minimal collateral damage.

a guerilla warrior will be to the benefit of the local people, by removing an oppressive government, rahter than a hazzard to the people.

islamic terrorists are not guerilla warriors. they are feminissed sociopaths willing to injure innocents to acheive their own objectives in terms of wealth and power.

with that clarification of topic in mind: show me an islamic terrorist in uniform willing to go up against an american soldier in uniform, and you'll have some leverage. if you can't, let go of the rope. cowardice is cowardice, just that.

if an american soldier roughs up a muslim woman to make her husband talk about something he knows, the american gets disciplined. if a muslim blows up a bunch of women and children in a marketplace (or in the WTC) he gets an ovation.

explain, please.

Why? Its a ridiculous premise.

You can't justify it without further buying into idiotic stereotypes.

Keep digging that hole my friend...
