PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. — Authorities say an elderly Port St. Lucie woman was so neglected by her son that her never-removed shoes had grown into her feet.

Investigators were called to an area hospital on Saturday after paramedics found 90-year-old Anna Chuboff emaciated and wearing clothes "soaked in urine." She had been injured in a fall at her home.

Her son, 68-year-old Robert Rozenti, was arrested and charged with neglect of an elderly person. It wasn't immediately known whether he had an attorney.

Life without parole!

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

I'm not a Doctor, don't even play one on TV, but I'm pretty sure her feet grew into her shoes. Unless her shoes are somehow sentient. :D

Such judgemental people! And from a story that isn't even a paragraph. Hopefully sonny boy will get his day in court. Read the story...mama was on her feet at 90 years old and the fall was what brought her to the attention of the paramedics. Who called the paramedics? A lot is left out of the story.

Have any of you ever been around cranky old folks? Sounds like my 86 year old neighbor. Her kids tried to have her put in an old folks home, but she fought it tooth and nail. Old folks have rights in the USA even if it is not in their best interests. Myself and my neighbors often found her laying on the ground and unable to get up. Several times. Often she soiled herself when she couldn't get up after falling. The paramedics and state workers were well aware and at her house quite often. Sad but true.

It took months to get her committed to a nursing home by court order here in TX. In the mean tiime she lived in the house with a yapping dog that bit her so often that she had bruises all over her body. And she loved that dog and refused to get rid of the little devil.

Old people are funny that way. Maybe the old gal went ballistic when sonny boy tried to take her shoes off. Who knows?

"Credibility in immigration policy can be summed up in one sentence: Those who should get in, get in; those who should be kept out, are kept out; and those who should not be here will be required to leave."

"...for the system to be credible, people actually have to be deported at the end of the process."

US Congresswoman Barbara Jordan (D-TX)

Testimony to the House Immigration Subcommittee, February 24, 1995
