Hi guys,

Should I ask my Fiancee to get the form G325A notarized along with the letter of intent that she wants to marry me.

Please advice,

Also what documents in total do I need from my Fiancee in order to submit the I-129F package.

Please advice.

Thank you

notarization not required

YMMV

Neither of those documents require a notary's signature. The only paperwork that needs to be notarized is the affidavit of support (I-134) which is filed after approval (NOA2). However, the new form and directions for that are still unclear on whether it's even needed anymore.

The K-1 Guide will list all documents needed by both of you.

the instructions are now clear:

Thanks Pay, I do realize the instructions state that a notary is not needed and there is no place for a signature. However, this topic has been discussed recently by VJ administration.

Since the USCIS conflicts itself and the USCIS says to ALWAYS refer to the Form download page (instead of the Form instructions) in the case of a conflict in information, we will continue to list it as required. Hopefully they can clear this up. I will contact them regarding this.

I do concur that it is pretty clear that it's no longer required but, because of the sentence in bold above, I believe there is still conflicting information.

Guys,

Amazing , thank you so much.

Another question was that

when I got engaged, we did not have any rings exchanged.

Like in some religions we simply went to the temple and prayed and exchanged gifts,

do I really need a ring receipt, if there were none exchanged.

Also,

we never had email exchanged, we call each other and use skype for webcam chatting. is having email communication absolutely necessary to prove, or can I print out chat records from GMAIL showing that we have communicated. And this is all for form I-129F

Please advice.

Thanks again a million times.

rings are only one possibility and not required...

e-mail/chat is not required for the I-129f because it does not prove meeting in person... this kind of evidence is optional for the petition

Most would recommend saving proof of on-going relationship until interview stage of the process but it's very dependant on the Embassy you will be dealing with. If you will be interviewing with a high fraud post, it's often advisable to load the initial petition with some secondary evidence and then collect more as you await the interview. However, when dealing with a 'lower risk' post, this is not really needed ...but very often people will send something that shows ongoing relationship either way. ;)

The most important thing is that you educate and prepare yourself as best you can.

The GUIDES & FAQ here are invaluable tools for you. Use them. ;)
