can I change the interview embassy?

Hi all, I am a Singapore permanent resident and I am original from PRC. I have lived and worked in Singapore for over 5 years and met my husband in Singapore . We registered our marriage in Singapore in 2008. Now I am applying CR1 visa and have been informed that my interview will be in Guangzhou, PRC. It is really inconvenient for me. Is there anybody here knows if I can change my interview to US embassy in Singapore? Thanks a lot!

Your interview can be in your country of legal residence. Who informed you your interview would be in Guangzhou?

Hi!! I changed my interview embassy and it took me an extra month (YES, NVC takes an entire month to change an Embassy ).

My advice: stay where you are, or you'll waste one month in your process.

whats your timeline? When did your case get completed at NVC? My wife is in Singapore and i'd like to know how long it takes to get the interview.
