Service Centers

Hello everyone. I Know there's four different service centers where you could send the i-130 petition, and I noticed that the one in California seems to have the fastest processing time. I was wondering if I could send the petition to whichever service center I want or if it depends on the state your located or something else.

i was just reading some timelines and i noticed CSC give away NOA2 after 3 -4 months while VSC gives it after 7 -8 months...whats wrong with Vermont? but i dont think we can choose which service center... depends where you live i think, but sometimes people get transferred to CSC from VSC...can we write a request letter for this?

Depends on the petitioner state of residency. You can't select a service center. Hope that helps if i'm wrong somebody correct me.

You are correct.

As far as being transferred goes - don't know how they determine that. I am an August filer transferred from VSC to CSC Dec 22 but there were some June filers that were not.

Very happy that I was, however, because approvals have already come through for some transferred just 5 days prior to me.
