My fiance in coming on a K1 visa. He is a high school teacher in Kenya and would like to take classes at the university in my town so he can be certified as a teacher in my state. My question is has anyone gone to school while the paper work is being processed or does he have to wait for the conditional green card before applying to school? just wondering if anyone has any experience with this.

in some state to get the "local" price you need to be considered resident....

and each state is different. Like in california u need to live there for a year or so or else u pay international student prices.

that really depends what state u r in and what school you consider.
