We are directly called for AOS interview. We applied for AP and EAD, but never got it. how common is this? thanks. :crying: I was really hoping to receive my EAD first so that I could start working. :crying::crying::crying:

Sounds like you may have your GC pretty soon. No need EAD or AP then.

K1 denied, K3/K4, CR-1/CR-2, AOS, ROC, Adoption, US citizenship and dual citizenship

That sounds like a party time. But has this happened to anyone on this forum? After all goes well at my interview, do I have to go to my nearest SSN office to let them know about my change of status? Thanks and goodluck to all.

what you want is EAD or AOS whichever is quicker... for whatever reason your AOS was quicker... and yes you will need to tell SSA about your changed status

YMMV

I wouldn't worry

I actually got my Notice for Initial Interview BEFORE I started getting mail about my AP and EAD.

I remember I too was very confused, since I thought it was more normal to First receive the AP and EAD and THEN receive the notice for the

interview.

But everybody's process is different, don't worry about it.

Maybe you will go to your interview, be approved  and wont need to have separate AP / EAD.

Good Luck!
