Question about Expediting I-131

Has anyone ever tried the "expedited processing" on an I-131?

It seems like they're just going to use the express mail envelopes and shave off a couple of days of mail time... Do they actually expedite the processing?

I'm asking becuase we've now received our NOA2, and my fiance got the D-230 form a couple of days ago. She's going to submit now, and we expect that she'll be able to relocate to the US in early March of 2009. We're planning on getting legally married in the US very soon after she arrives but having a wedding ceremony in Tokyo. Not having properly understood the timelines involved on an I-131, we had started planning venues and stuff like that in Tokyo for a 6/27/2009 wedding ceremony.

Given that the average processing time seems to be around 70 days we'd JUST get in under the deadline in that timeframe, but I noticed several took as long as four months... So just trying to figure out if we should reschedule our wedding ceremony (which we don't really want to do of course, but it is possibsle) or if expeding an I-131 for non-emergency reasons is possible?

What some have done, is if I-131 is not approved and AP in hand a week or so before a trip, they schedule an Info-Pass appointment to field office and request an emergency AP.

Bring evidence that you filed for AP, and travel itinerary.

OUR TIME LINE Please do a timeline it helps us all, thanks.

Is now a US Citizen immigration completed Jan 12, 2012.
