That's why I was laughing, if he was meaning that you and AJ condoned the actions of the Bush admin for 8 years. It's so obvious you both wanted Obama to win and your critique is normal. Sorry Nowhereman, you are very partisan in my opinion. But you may think I am just another right winger. :P

saying he's partisan makes you a right winger :P

Nowhereman spent weeks before the election trying to convince us that he wasn't a partisan, we it was so clear that he was indeed. I'm glad he didnt succeed.

yes, saving and creating are two different things.

would have been more heartening if she said, "save and create" not "save or create"

It turned into "save or create" shortly after he won.

noticed that, too...

In his radio address today, President-elect Obama uses some new language when discussing what he wants the stimulus package to achieve in terms of jobs. First off, he has a name for the package -- the "American Recovery and Reinvestment Plan."

The president-elect says he wants to "create three million new jobs" -- this is a change from a few weeks ago, when he said he wanted the plan to create OR SAVE two million jobs.

You guys are splitting hairs (which is bad) & have condoned the actions of an awful administration for 8 years (which is far worse). 1 +1 = 0 (credibility).

Who are the "you guys" that you are referring to in this post? AJ and AlhayatZween? lol

AJ, Rogue, Charles, etc. Basically the right wingers on the forum who never admit how truly awful the Bush administration has been but analyze every word Obama speaks & every decision he makes. I'm guessing you are new to the forums... it's pretty hard to miss their bias.

some of us are more pragmatic about things. while bush has made mistakes, he's nowhere near as bad as you like to portray him.

as for analyzing everything obama says or every decision he makes, isn't that what you've done with bush? is this going to be a case of do as you say and not as you do?

VW we've gone down this road before & we both know what I have against the right wingers of the forum. Let me sum up the views of you & your pesos:

1. Do not take responsibility for your actions (Bush is a perfect example of this).

2. Label everyone who isn't far right a liberal.

3. Blame the liberals.

Well the BIG difference here is that Bush IS an awful President & you ANTICIPATE (I would even say hope) that Obama will be a bad President. If you guys were even remotely objective I would respect your opinions more, but all I see is one-sided rhetoric.

I thought AJ actually supported/supports Obama...

I think AJ just likes to stir the pot!

He does as far as I know too. I've seen him criticize Bush plenty of times.

I do think that pre-emptively criticising Obama before he's even taken office is a bit weird.

Why? Is there a criticism moratorium we don't know about? He ran on a platform, which gives us something to anticipate about positions he will take as president. His cabinet and executive appointments are open for criticism, too. Nothing pre-emptive about that.

Given that there we can't exactly measure his performance in the job - it seems a little silly.

What was silly was to elect a guy who we couldn't measure re past performance due to his lack of experience and paper thin political CV, but we did. So, criticism of anything he does at this point is relatively appropriate.

Like I've said many times if your group (for lack of a better term) was even remotely critical of Bush as you are of Obama your opinions would carry at least some weight. I dislike Bush because he's a crappy President (I voted for Reagan & Bush Sr. so it's not like I vote exclusively Democrat) but it appears to me that your group dislikes Obama for the mere fact that he isn't far right (it can't be because of his actions as President because he is merely the President-elect). That smacks of bias to me.
