I don't know what to think now that the interview is over.

The immigration officer asked me for my wife's and stepson's dates of birth, her place of birth and her parents names. I got them all correct.

He asked her when and where we were married and she said sometime in August in a large building.

Do you think these mistakes she made could cost us the green card?

Maybe he understood that her grasp of the English language is somewhat limited.

I am very worried about how it went because the Officer did not smile at all and was very precise. I think he asked a few unnecessary questions like my stepson's school records. I do not think this is mandatory.

He did say it seemed to be ok and that a second Officer must review his work.

:goofy: Since he said it seemed okay, I wouldn't worry about it now. Like you said, maybe the language barrier played a role and he knew it. I think you are okay and wish you luck. :goofy:

Thank you. I am looking at your timeline. We filed second week of October and the interview was 8 months later.

Is it where you live or did you have the secret to a speedy green card?

Hm... is there any junior officers who just started working and need someone to supervise their work?

I would say don't worry too much, but continue working on how to make your case stronger. Get joint accounts, credit cards, insurance etc. etc. if there is something that you still miss.
