hi everyone.........i just wanted to let you know that we just came back from canada......as some of you know i finally received my greencard and went home to see my mother who is very ill.....seeing her in the hospital, knowing that she is never going home is one of the toughest things i ever had to deal with..i feel so sorry for my dad and so helpless that there is nothing i can do....going home was bittersweet....i am grateful that i was able to see my mom one more time and sad knowing that it was probably the last time. For me, coming back here finally felt like "coming home". I guess I had to leave and come back to find that out. For those of you that wonder how it went at the POE it was amazing. The officer just asked us where we were and for how long and where we lived. That was it. We showed him our passports and my greencard and we sailed right on through. I missed reading the posts here and some of the people I have gotten to know a little bit. Nice to be back!!

Still waiting for our cards...Had to file I-90 as they sent them to the wrong address.

March 9th, 2010, Received GC that has been lost in the mail for 10 months. Still waiting for my son's that is lost as well.

Filed Waiver for my son's 10 year GC and it was approved. He finally received his GC after its been missing for 2 years.

Thanking God this is over for 10 years.

I am so sad to hear about your mom littlepoem. That would devestate me. Especially if I thought that would probably be the last time I'd see her. I'm struggeling with just seeing my family again and they are back home in Canada. You have great strength. I'm glad to hear that your trip back to the USA was easy breezy and that everything went well.

(F) I am sorry to hear about your mother's health, but glad to know you had no problems at the border, as my husband once he gets his card hopes to go back to Alberta without any problems to be with his 71 year old father for a couple of weeks.

hugs,

Moondancer
