Anyone ever heard of USCIS personal calling or visiting a couples neighborhoods to verify relationships during AOS or removing conditions?

Do they just rely on the paperwork evidence you send in to make their decisions?

To me you'd think they would if they really wanted to be positive one way or the other.

Sure would be nice for people who have a valid relationship.

K1 denied, K3/K4, CR-1/CR-2, AOS, ROC, Adoption, US citizenship and dual citizenship

To me you'd think they would if they really wanted to be positive one way or the other.

Sure would be nice for people who have a valid relationship.

Never heard about it, except in the movies.

It would be a really good way to knock on the door at 3am and see if you are really sleeping in the same house, but the logistics would get the better of them and the cost of the various applications would become way too high.

03/01/2007 - POE - JFK (L-1 Visa)

01/15/2008 - Proposed

03/15/2008 - Married

09/02/2008 - Sent AOS Package (I-130, I-485, I-693)

09/03/2008 - Received - Signed by SMITH

09/04/2008 - Checks deposited

09/10/2008 - Checks cleared ($1010 + $355)

09/12/2008 - 2 NOA's received (I-130, I-485) - Dated 09/08/08

09/16/2008 - Received notice for biometrics appointment on 09/30/2008

09/20/2008 - Biometrics done - Walk in (Orlando) Took 10 minutes

09/22/2008 - I-485 viewable online (pending, of course)

09/30/2008 - Biometrics Appointment (2pm)

12/30/2008 - Received Interview Letter

02/25/2008 - Interview

03/06/2008 - Welcome Letter received (the website will clearly never send me updates!)

someone i know was visited by an immigration person..

everything was ok..

but they were questioned.. why??

cos her closet/dresser is different from her husband's.. :wacko::bonk:

wow. but I read on VJs that they let you know before that there will be a home visit. is that true?

I think if that's the case, it doesn't serve its purpose to begin with...

From what I heard, the rare times they actually do show up at your door, they don't give you any notice. They just show up..

05/12/04 => Arrived in the US under L1 status / work visa

03/05/05 => Met the love of my life

07/02/07 => Married my wonderful USC husband

______AOS JOURNEY________________________________

10/03/08 => Package sent to USCIS

03/03/09 => Interview in Chicago, IL =>> APPROVED!

______REMOVAL OF CONDITIONS JOURNEY______________

12/03/10 => Package sent to California service center

03/02/11 => 10 YR GREEN CARD RECEIVED!!

______CITIZENSHIP JOURNEY_________________________

01/20/12 => Filed N-400 for Citizenship

06/21/12 => Citizenship interview: Approved!

07/25/12 => Oath Ceremony.. DONE WITH USCIS!!
