Hi All,

I am planning to keep my mailin address for USCIS as my inlaws address which is in NY, while we wld be physically staying in NJ.. now is this feasible that i stay in Jersey and my mailin address is NY or shld i keep them same.. as I am finally planned my trip this Mon and then we are ready to AOS..

I am taking up a rental lease of my friend in Jersey so am not sure how long i will be there or move

So to keep the USCIS mailing me at my Inlaws wld be best for me..

Please advise

Thanks

Al

I did the same thing....I live and work in Chicago but was looking for apartments at the time i was sending out my AOS packet. So i used my inlaws address in FL to make sure all the letters go to somewhere safe.

Only prob is, when i had an appt for Biometrics i had to go to Orlando.

SO it's a small price to pay !

I also did this as well. We used my inlaws addy, also for a safe place to mail things. Our AOS interview is coming up soon though and I was adviced to switch it to our address that we are at now and not our inlaws because it could cause trouble with them seeing that we got mail at this address yet they were mailing it to the other. I was just informed it could cuz problems when trying to prove the liability of both of us living at the same address.

I too receive mail at a different address from which i live. I hope it does not cause a problem at the interview.

Anyone out there who has been approved also have a different mailing address from which you reside? Any problems at the interview?

I was in the same situation, but I changed my address with USICS and filled out the AR-11. I was glad I did, at the interview the officer asked for a copy of the AR-11 I sent in. No problems though.

See ya.

I live in NC with my husband and all mail goes to my inlaws in Houston, TX cause we didn't know when we will get orders (Marine corps) to move again. I had my interview yesterday and they didn't seem to have any problem with it. They only wanted me to say both addresses including Zip codes to see whether I really live there or not (weird, I know).
