Hi there, thank you for your reply, my husband and i both are working in kuwait, thats where i have taken my fingerpritns, anyway, my problems with fingerprinting is solved. I did it on March 11. and here is the weird thing... i got two letters of Interview notification. The first letter came directly from the USCIS in AK, and one came from the National, they have different dates though... so thats confusing... i wonder if anyone here had experienced that and what date did you go for? We been trying to call but all we got is the Operator telling us to call again, or leave our phone number... I wonder if someone knew a good number that i can call...One of my interview date is : 23 April and one is 4 May.

He passed the interview and we are DONE! :thumbs: ...and, he was asked to come back in one hour for the Oath :dance: Tomorrow we are going to the SS office to notify the change and then apply for a US passport at the post office.

thanks all! Yes, it really was fast especially since USCIS processing time page said it takes average 5-6 months at our local office.

So, here's a quick report of the interview. Arrived about 15 minutes early. There was only one other person there. We went together with our baby. The security guard even turned the TV on a children's show, the Backyardigans. One of the CSRs from the window came out to say hello to our daughter. Needless to say, the staff were super freindly.

My husband was called in the interview room #1 and answered the first 6 Qs correctly so the test was done. First Q was "what is the national anthem?". This was funny because this was one question he struggled to get right when we were practicing for the interview. The written Q & A was how many US Senators. Once the interview was done, the IO asked if he could come back in a couple hours for the Oath. Of course he said yes. The interview was done in about 10 minutes.

We were delightfully surprised the Oath ceremony would be offered the same day since we were previously told by the LO to expect it upwards to one month after the interview. There were 5 other people recieving the oath with my husband. Two women, three men. No one was dressed formal except for one guy wearing a military uniform. Everyone else was wearing jeans. They took the allegiance oath and then were handed the naturalization certificates and also a clear plastic folder which contained pocket sized brochures on the Constitution and the Declaration of Independence, information on applying for a US passport, etc. The officer that performed the oath offered a brief Q & A for the new citizens. Our one Q was what do we do with all of our visa paperwork collected over the years. He said we don't need them anymore and can purge them (Yay!)

The whole ceremony lasted 10 minutes.

Anyway, we decided to go apply for his passport today, so off went the shiny new naturalization certificate with it.

Our N400 process only took 2.5 months, start to finish.

My husband is an American!!!! :star::star::star:
