I sent my application on Jan 7th to vermont service center, received my notice on Jan 14th and still don't have my biometrics appointment! Do you think this is normal? what should I do? by the way I added my timeline.

I did call USCIS and they told me wait or contact National Benefit Center(NBC) via mail. Right now, my case is at NBC. Do you any phone Number I can call NBC?

I just received a letter from USCIS " RE:Case File Review Notice/Interview Document Check List" asking for some documents to bring to interview. However, no interview date has been mentioned and I have not even recieved a biometrics appointment so far. Does anyone have a similar experience?

Did you get your fingerprints taken in the last 15 months? Then they're probably still valid and you don't need to go in for biometrics again.

Congratulations on your interview checklist. I think the actual invitation to the interview should follow soon. :thumbs:

Par,

Check the USCIS timeframes for your Field Office which will give you an idea, but if it says something like 6 months, usually is faster than what it says there. Also, keep in mind that the Field Office works in sometimes ways that you cannot understand. Here in ATL people from December got their interview letters right along with the people from January... which it looks like they stop making interviews for a while or something... so unfortunately the only thing you can do until your waiting time for that letter is above that "average" timeframe shown on the website, then you can call or make an appointment. Otherwise, when you call, they will just tell you to wait... so hang in there I am pretty sure your letter will get to you soon.. good luck!

Par and cHiQy,

I applied around the same time as you guys, Priority Date of Jan 15, forwarded to NBC.

I heard nothing until today when I received a yellow 'Interview Document Checkilst'. I also today received, in a separate envelope, a letter containing an Interview Date in May.

So, hang in there, it seems those interview dates are coming.

(btw, I never received a biometrics appointment and I am assuming at this point that was because I completed the last set within 15 months.)

I also received the Case File Review Notice today. Being in NYC I am not even stressing about the interview date as of yet. If I complete this process within a year, I'll be more than happy.

I also received the Case File Review Notice today. Being in NYC I am not even stressing about the interview date as of yet. If I complete this process within a year, I'll be more than happy.

I received the Case File Review notice today but no interview letter. My Case very similar with you guys above. I filed N-400 on Jan. 2009, no FP letter(I too my FP on Jan, 2008 for I-751). I called USCIS last month, they sent me a letter:" Recently you called inform us that you have not received a biomertrics appoinment letter. After checking with our system the biometrics taken on 1/25/2008 are still valid and you will not be schedueld again."

So, if you guys who did not get the FP letter maybe you still have vaid biomertrics on their system.
