All - we went over to the local office today to find out, for certain, what exact supporting docs we need to bring to the interview since we got the Interview Document Check List with the appointment letter.

I was told the doc check list letter is sent to everyone who gets an interview letter. We need to concern ourselves with bringing originals of what is asked only on the interview letter AND they said to bring original of the proof you live together (mortgage or lease), which was not listed on our interview letter.

Check list is another paper included with the interview appointment letter.

Married 2007, Husband became USC 06/2009,

I became a LPR 11/2009

03/23/10 - Received & Signed by R Mercado

03/31/10 - NOA1 Date

04/02/10 - Check cashed

04/05/10 - Received NOA1

05/03/10 - Touched

05/04/10 - Touched

05/05/10 - Touched/Received Approval Message (email&text) 44 days!!!

05/06/10 - Touched/Status says Approval Notice Sent on 05/05/10

05/07/10 - Case # Assigned

05/10/10 - Received NOA2

05/12/10 - DS3032/AOS Fee Bill Received (email)

05/12/10 - Sent DS3032 via email & Paid AOS Fee Bill

05/16/10 - AOS Fee Bill Payment Status is PAID

05/17/10 - DS3032 Accepted/DS230 Fee Bill Received/Sent AOS Packet

06/09/10 - Checklist Cover Letter Received by email (to pay&send DS230, & RFE for AOS)

06/23/10 - Sent RFE for AOS

guys. i have a question.

i have two traffic tickets.

a) speeding ticket ($50) a couple of weeks before i filed my n-400

B) a parking ticket ($100) in 2004.

i did not mention any of these tickets in my application because:

1) i was under the impression that only tickets with fines over $500 needed to be mentioned (honest mistake).

2) i had simply forgotten the 2004 ticket and only recently remembered it.

now the question. what should i do when i go for the interview. i obviously should tell them. i have the proof of payment for my recent ticket. for 2004 parking ticket i only have a carbon copy of the check that i had written. would that be enough?

Thank you Lappa. Keeping my fingers crossed !

When I got my interview letter, the description of docs that I have to bring for interview was attached. In your case I think you will get a seperate interview letter within a couple of days. If not, call USICS ask. I think its up to the DO how to send the interview letter.

I haven't received my interview letter yet, but I received a letter two days ago saying I need to bring additional documentation on the day of the interview. I am just curious, if others received a similar letter too. And if this is any sign that the interview letter is on its way soon?

FBI couldn't process the fingerprints so we have to go back 03/13/09 to have them redone.

I am sorry for what happened to you :(, someone I know is also doing the same thing she had them done on the 16th, now she is going again this tuesday... hopefully THIS TIME they can get it right...good luck ....

Sept. 04, 2008 : I-130 Sent to Vermont SC - filed for spouse based on greencard

Oct. 24, 2008 : NOA 1 Received from VSC

April. 30, 2009 : Become US citizen, called USCIS to upgrade I-130 from F2A to IR-1 category

April. 30, 2009 : send a letter with copy of certificate of naturalization to upgrade the petition.

April. 30, 2009 : Status is upgraded to CR-1/IR-1 category and case is pending.

Sept 30, 2009 : NOA2 - approval notice sent Thanx to the God almighty

NVC Journey

Oct 4, 2009 : Case Number Assigned - Received this by speaking to a live operator.

Oct 16, 2009:AOS and IV Fee bills generated and rec'd Invoice id number via e-mail

Oct 20, 2009 :AOS and IV Fee bills status - Paid (online)

RFE I lost at least two weeks

Nov 15,2009 :AOS and DS-230 package sent to NVC

Dec 08,2009 :case completed at NVC (checked through AVR) Merci Jesus

I am praying for a Jan Interview

I think that is absolutely amazing that they can't get it right the first time. They have a computer telling them what an acceptable "fingerprint-score" is, and then have two layers of "quality review" before it even hits the FBI's desk for processing. Amazing....

Since this is obviously their mess-up, I'm sure that they will refund the gas money and time lost from work when you have to go an see them a 2nd time... riiiiiiiiight....... :angry:

Well they did say that the next biometrics appointment will be at no cost to me :whistle:

What does surprise me a little is that the technician said that they were " a good set of prints" and apparently they were not. Also, I know that they have a good set of prints on file from the Green card process. Why couldn't they use them as I am sure that at least some of the current set were readable and could be compared to their set on file to confirm that it was the same person?
