As I've posted in my signature and in the CSC thread, we got our case transferred to the CSC this Dec 22. I noticed this link in one of our members' signatures:

This was what I wanted to find out before - what to do while waiting for approval. I read over the visa guide for the IR-2/CR-1 and was wondering about the police certificates and birth certificates, et al. Are these pertaining only to the beneficiary or to both him/her and his/her petitioner?

I think we should start gethering these documents now. It would be nice if we could get approved in 13 days also. :) But otherwise it takes about 4-5 months, right?

Also is it okay to download the free pdf forms here at VisaJourney or would it be better to wait for the package to arrive?

You need a police certificate and a certified birth certificate both only for the BENEFICIARY. I just started the NVC process and am collecting all the info already. It would be good to be prepared, and then sign & date papers right before you actually send them. Definitely keep reading the Wiki guide! It's helped me so far!

Good luck :)
