In any religion where ADAM came first and yada. The men are in charge of household , community and when married have final say in all matters. EVen with Muhammed swt. to deny this is to be deluded take a realistic approach. not saying good not saying bad, its just the way it is. If you develop and society where woman takes over headship completely look what happens, first off the husband gets more and more dishearted and feeling inadequate (sound familiar) he might start picking figths petty to gain some control and manhood or he may seek outside of relationship or look for homegirl to meet his needs for validationl. The wife who takes chargeoften feels alone isolated and not being coddled ie emotional needs not being met. they turn cold and bitter. the sons have identity crisis and turn gay. and daughters turn into big mouth annoying demanding hos and bull dykes. So be in charge and treat your man like the underling little boy . And think next time y ou think its fraud or he being cold or a fraud. The whole set up marriage could be a fraud of universal nature and balance.. Islam is submissin to ALLAH and service to him and others. Many DO not know thier place because Pride gets in thier way.!!

Who are you and what have you done with Cindy Shah?

Good things and bad things can happen , this is life, we can't blame your husband because we dont khow

the circumstances of your divorce

possibly the wisest thing on this thread

"you fondle my trigger then you blame my gun"

Timeline: 13 month long journey from filing to visa in hand

If you were lucky and got an approval and reunion with your loved one rather quickly; Please refrain from telling people who waited 6+ months just to get out of a service center to "chill out" or to "stop whining" It's insensitive, and unecessary. Once you walk a mile in their shoes you will understand and be heard.

Thanks!

....in a visajourney far far away......I used to say your exact words. EXACT. Fast forward to present day.....NEVER SAY NEVER and never get so comfortable that you become arrogant cuz climbing up the ladder is the easy part. Sliding down past your friends to the stinkin bottom sucks.

My point, dont alienate anyone. We all put our pants on one leg at a time and nothing makes you any different from those here that have suffered thru a mena divorce.

Jackie

Agreed Jackie......The mena divorces I have seen have been almost complete disappearances if no kids were involved and if kids areae involved, a constant mindg

It is really sad and almost brought tears to my eyes, when I read what thia lady went thru.I doubt if there's anything as heart-rending as that. However,I am happy that your is a success story, and that you do know of others whose marriages are not scams.I've had a torrid time at the Consulate here, they've kept me and my woman apart for almost 3 years, but I don't hate them, and I don't blame them. It's rather unfortunate that a huge proportion of the men from here that get married, abandon the woman in less than 3 years.Maybe Immigration should introduce a clause that'll check that,or give the aggrieved woman right to seek justice. It is evil to use a woman in such a way.I'm happy that yours is a success story.Stay blessed!

I am sorry for what you have gone through, but I don't see what you will achieve by posting this warning. Most everyone here is aware of the risk. It's not like your post is going to make us say "Oh my God, I never even thought about that!". It has been discussed here before, and it will be discussed again. There are women that have been used, there will be more. By the time a woman is on Visa Journey they have already made up their mind about it, and I doubt that yet another warning is going to change their mind that easily.

Oh and for the record you can say that you know of 2 real marriages now. My husband and I have an age difference. He has an IR1 GC, and doesn't need to prove anything to anybody to keep it. He could walk away scott free and keep his GC. But yet he is right now sitting next to me watching a movie. I love him dearly, and I know he loves me. I know of at least 3 others that are also in valid marriages, but I would choose not to speak for them. I do encourage everyone to tell their own personal stories. And I am speaking about the ones that are like me, done with the visa process, nothing more to prove, and they are still together, as well as the ones that have been used.

Is there visa fraud? Yes. Does this apply to everyone that marries a foreigner? No. Ultimately we are responsible to find out long before we have reached this stage in the relationship. If he was a very good actor, and fooled us, then it is in God's hands to ensure that he pays the price for this horrible deed.

I do wish you the best of luck for your future. We all deserve to find happiness.
