I will say one thing - in the beginning, I was scared to post too. I lurked for awhile. Yes, some people on here scare the hell out of me.... But, if there's anything I've learned it's that everyone here WILL know what you're going through, and if the criticism and advice or whatever bothers you HERE.....then you're not anywhere near ready for the cruel azz world out there of people who are going to try to bring you down because of your MENA marriage.

A friend (actually, ex-friend now....sigh) warned me that if I was going to go through with this, then I'd better develop a thick skin. And she's right........

Always remember: It's a message board. Nothing more. Don't post your personal business ( fake or real ) and you will be alright. As to the other poster who took things personally and thinks people don't like her.....

I agree with getting a thick skin. I'm just beginning to find out the things people think and will say to me just because my husband is from the ME (including my family). Maybe that's why we are all so defensive. Don't try to tell me my husband isn't absolutely the most wonderful thing on the face of the earth just because he is from the ME.

I would also interject that if you think VJ is judgmental then you ain't never dealt with a judgmental CO or IO - who holds your whole life in their little hands. So in essence, if you don't feel welcome here, you're going to pizz yourself waiting at a USEM or the USCIS District Office.
